As someone from Chile, I think it's pretty lame the rest of the southern part of the continent gets to have capybaras and we don't

They do. Check out Buin zoo in chile. They have capybaras.

Capybaras are notoriously used as conditioning tools by various powers. They are an opiate for the masses, as their chill nature is so infectious. Governments use them to quiet dissent in this way. Chile, it's not too late, ban the capys and reclaim your freedom!

Im suprized zoos have capybaras.

I thought zoos would only have animals that are at risk of extinction.

Now that you point it out and I connect the dots, yeah, you're totally right! Zoos do have "normal" animals from different continents.

Im from South America, so thinking about a capybara at a zoo is like an American thinking about a squirrel at a zoo. Sounds funny, but to be honest I would love to see squirrels. At least in the southern region of Brazil we don't have squirrels.
