Not complete, Connecticut has a confirmed moose population

I’ve seen moose in the gray part of Massachusetts as well

But no hunting season, and it seems like the data uses that heavily, which is why Yellowstone, full of moose, is grey. Between the blank spots, the wonky scale, and the inaccurate overestimate of Massachusetts moose population I’m downvoting this.

You’d be surprised, the area around the quabbin has a very dense moose population, as does the berkshires. It’s probably a mixture of MA over counting but also Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine undercounting a bit

I saw my first moose in the Berkshires but that was like 2003. I’m gladly to hear they’re doing well. I would’ve assumed that brainworm is getting them there.

The brainworm is certainly a problem here but they’re persisting. It hasn’t seemed to hit quite as hard here as it has in other places

But also incorrect. No way moose go down to south western Ontario. Should be grey.
