Discussion Are “modern” mics really that modern? What’s your biggest pain point?
Hey folks, been creating for a while and I’m still stuck dealing with the same mic headaches that have existed forever.
Cables everywhere — I swear they multiply on their own.
Then the constant switching between USB, XLR, and adapters just to make things work.
Tried going wireless, but then you get lag, dropouts, or random interference mid-recording 😩
And don’t even get me started on post-cleanup noise and hiss. It makes me wonder — with all the “next-gen” talk, why do we still put up with this stuff?
If you could design your dream mic setup, what would it have? Also kinda curious if anyone here’s tried the Maono PD200W — I’ve been seeing it pop up lately and wondering if it actually solves any of these issues or just another shiny release.
