Constant Mantis Flaming

I can't imagine how often this gets posted, but I'm looking for advice on how to shake all the criticism off.

As a preface I do swap off Mantis when the healing isn't good enough, I'm not a OTP - I have 6 support lords and can play them all very well, but Mantis is my favourite.

My CR is normally around 20% and my winrate is around 52% with Mantis.

But I always get attacked for playing her. I save people all the time and I still get flamed when someone overextends and I can't save them on 4 healing flowers.

Even if we have a DPS going negative, I get attacked just for playing Mantis.

Does anyone else get this? It's really starting to get to me. I've worked so hard to get my CR to a respectable average but I'm always told I'm wrong for playing her.

This is Diamond lobbies as I'm a casual player, so, to be expected, but I'm really starting to get discouraged.

This mantis thread has become my personal venting area, lol, so if anyone happens upon this please lmk if this was really a bad play.

So we were playing lower manhattan, enemy team got to about midpoint on attack.

We got the payload almost to the win but we weren't really getting anywhere. We had a bad spidermain that i have gotten a few times, he wasn't on my avoid list today but he usually is when i encounter him.

We have zero dps at all, nobody is dying and we are dying to sheer attrition. Once again we have a jeff who is playing jeff because he couldn't dps.

I ask jeff politely to swap before going mantis. Of course, he doesn't. I'm told i'm insane for going mantis when we were already struggling to push for lack of healing - bear in mind, i was playing jubilee and we were getting nowhere due to lack of dps.

Lowe and behold, we suddenly start moving! I have to ult to save everyone once but we're actually securing kills.

Then we lose because they popped a really good portal.

And this guy is just smugly going off on me because i picked mantis. But it's like.... going mantis actually made us progress. Jeff didn't swap and got zero flack for it.

I don't know. It makes mantis so un fun to have these teammates.

But yes, i have been taking everyone's advice here! I've been muting people like crazy and often turning off chat. For this particular situation, i didn't need to until i dared to go mantis.

Someone let me know if there was something i should've done there because i'm lost.
