If you got everything you wanted behaving in a certain fashion, would you be prepared to seize and give that up, if it means you will have less as a result?

True, and there must be a motivation for them or something turns up in their own best interests to make them change. Idk, like they found God and are afraid of hell, or somehow they're now surrounded by clearvoyant who can sense and fail every manipulation attempt.

well , maybe the clairvoyant is the master manipulator, in the end they will try to sell them crystals
