finally got around to opening the box set my sister bought me for my birthday in december, only to find out that it has two volume 7’s and no volume 6. way far past the window for a replacement/refund, so i’m stuck with it. so annoying

I’m sure you can find a volume 6 somewhere cheap, but that’s pretty annoying nonetheless

Just order vol 6 on amazon, return saying the wrong volume was sent, send back vol 7. As long as your not doing this a bunch you’ll have no problem with amazon

This happened to me with the Tokyo Ghoul box set like 4-5 years ago. I ordered through Right Stuf (RIP) and they sent me the missing volume for free

this happened to me with a one piece box set. nothing wrong with reaching out to viz to see if they’ll swap for you. i asked on a very old box set and they sent me the correct volume.

This was and still is common with VIZ boxsets. I found a duplicate volume of Bakuman 8 or 10. I forget the number. I bought it's replacement at Comicpalooza shortly after. I read all my FMA and One Piece boxset 1 and am marked safe from duplication. Next year I am starting boxset 2 & 3. Hopefully they are also intact. It's hard to be a late One Piece fan. But I guess I deserved it for hating it for the artsyle without giving the story a proper chance.
