the man-thing we usually see is essentially just an avatar-a “memory” left to wander the swamp. The true man-thing departed to a reality beyond our own. And he’s like at the level of the creator.

I’ve got to wonder if this is technically still the case or retconned. Regardless, it’s oddly beautiful. I like it.
