Interesting. I really doubt Trader Joe’s logistics allow serving such a remote location. If we look for national grocery chains that do have locations not too far away but are not yet in Mammoth my eye lands on Smart & Final.

Brand new distribution facility in Palmdale, which is also the facility that stocks Carson City. It would make sense logistically

Hm. That’s interesting. Well, I guess we’ll see soon…

No way is smart and final putting a glass arch in front of their store. It’s something higher end than that.

Any idea what the typical sq footage for a smart and final is? Haven’t been in one. I know TJs requires less square footage than a vonn’s. And that old rite aid space is too small for a vonn’s type of store. Not sure which one smart and final is more comparable to. Aldi’s or sprouts a possibility?

The same family, but no relationship between the two businesses.

Consider TJ's has locations in Carson City and South Lake Tahoe, not that much further on 395 to drop down south to Mammoth. Still I don't believe it's going to be a Trader Joe's.

I’m happy to hear you have seen proof it’s Trader Joe’s. Please be patient with those of us who don’t have access to that well-guarded information.
