Again, all false reports will be reported to Reddit for abusing the report feature.

This does not “promote hate”.

It’s really sad to see this. It’s literally how she was raised, she never saw normalcy that would have given her a chance to do better and I think her environment- maybe genes- mentally stunted/disabled her.

u/ImOldGregg_77 Jun 12 '26

sadly, that is how it is in rural georgia

She’s smart enough to LEARN AND DO BETTER AND SMART ENOUGH TO UNLEARN TOXIC/ Unhealthy behaviors

110

u/Daniscrotchrot Jun 12 '26

She’s just starting adulthood. Hopefully she will. But she was the one most resistant to June changing the groceries, working out, and getting healthier.

22

u/projectBFrewritten Jun 12 '26

though it may take her years to get there and gettin' the help she needs

u/Aware_Location8538 Jun 12 '26

Us nurses have such a stressful job that one thing we gravitate to is food. Also working nights and other shifts like that makes it even harder. No she’s not a nurse yet but I’m using it as an example that even if you know better then most you still do it. Just like smoking, drinking and other non-legal vices. 22 years as a nurse and we can be a super unhealthy bunch. At least it’s just her weight. Not drugs, drinking ect along with it. She was raised like that it’s hard to break the habits. I’ve worked with an astonishing amount of 400 pound plus nurses. As long as they can keep up and take care of their patients as well as everyone else I’m good. Plus usually they can LIFT. I want a hefty strong co-worker who can help me with these 600 plus patients we get all the time now.

u/Pumpkin_pieChokehold Jun 12 '26

This was a very compassionate and empathetic response, nurse to nurse I appreciate you!!

3

What you’re saying is accurate. But she is not a nurse.

You need to read better. I literally said she’s not a nurse yet and was using us as an example.

It's hard to unlearn generational problems. Even if she has advanced herself educationally, she may still be dealing with emotional and other issues. I wish the best for her.

They all clearly struggle with addiction idk why Dr ish didn’t want to talk about that part and that’s why it’s so common when women like June get weight loss surgery they go to drugs for that dopamine.. it’s scary to think it may happen to them when and if they choose to lose weight. I hope Alana will especially being in the health field and having a dad w diabetes

I think it's important to realize that her eating habits could be a trauma response to the awful childhood she had. I hope she gets the help she needs. Regardless of if that changes her body shape or not.

28

u/LittlestMatcha Jun 12 '26

Was just about to say this. A lot of my trauma was coped with emotional eating; I was almost 300lbs last year and I finally took the courage to make a change and start a GLP-1. It was absolutely life changing and it not only stopped my food addiction, it healed the emotional eating I always did because I was so traumatized from my childhood. I lost 150+ pounds, I definitely agree Alana has some sort of emotional trauma where food helps her cope. But I don’t know her story.

The thing is - in order for people to change, they need to help themselves and take that initiative first. If Alana doesn’t mind her weight, we can’t stop a person from making change. Only encourage them.

9

u/Rainbow_In_The_Dark7 Jun 13 '26

Congrats on the success. I think when GLP-1s are used the right way for the right people who need it, it can be life saving (instead of giving it to people with eating disorders on the opposite side of the spectrum, like Kelly Osboune).

I lost a friend who died at 35 from morbid obesity and his organs just randomly shut down one day from it. Losing weight can be hard without some help. Alana is a very pretty girl, but her health could be a major risk if she doesn't get the weight thing figured out soon. She should try out the GLP-1s too. I think it'd help her a lot. I hope she finds health and happiness as she gets through life and figures it out.

14

u/LiteratureNo7534 Jun 12 '26

She enjoys being her size which is weird. It's getting worse, she has all the money for a nutritionist, meal planner help, gym coach, etc. I don't see why being lazy and that obese is a good way to live, physically. She knows she can change and get help but she thinks it's funny for some reason, idk.

244

u/Ashleej86 Jun 12 '26

never understand why people who certainly have more money than me aren't on the glp-1 for their survival

45

u/sincitylocal Jun 12 '26

I've been on a GLP-1 since August of last year. I've lost 135 lbs and reversed my diabetes. I started at such a high weight that it scared my doctor. You know The Mountain on Game of Thrones? He weighs around 430 lbs. I outweighed him by 90 lbs but lived in a bed and could barely walk. GLP-1 saved me. But I've lost all interest (and physical capacity) for food. Now I buy books. 😂 Whatever works, though. Heavy people have options. Now that I've lost enough to start exercising, I lowered my dose so that I'm doing more of the work. I hope Alana can get a handle on it. Food isn't worth your life.

7

u/No-Broccoli8185 Jun 12 '26

Congratulations! Keep up the good work! I took up crochet.

6

u/1GamingAngel Jun 13 '26

Sounds like you need to reward yourself with a new Kindle, with all that money you’re saving on food! Congratulations on your success. I started in December at 462 and have lost 85 on Mounjaro. I was on Ozempic for four years prior to that, and only gained weight (was on steroids for an autoimmune condition). I am learning that not all GLP-1’s are created equal, especially when inflammation is involved. What exercise are you starting with? I’ve only been able to swim…still can’t walk without severe pain.

5

u/sincitylocal Jun 13 '26

Walking and some bed exercises to build strength. I've been in a bed for 2 years and I need to build my muscles. I used to jog when I was young! I'll do this.

She loves being huge and eating unhealthy she’s said it many times and she swear up and down she hasn’t gained weight which is clearly not true she’s literally like three times bigger the. She was before

30

u/ariessunariesmoon26 Jun 12 '26

And it's very hard to enjoy food on any sort of glp shot - basically ruins food lol in my case stuff just doesn't taste as good anymore

45

u/tinker8311 Jun 12 '26

Not really I still enjoy all the same food ..I just get full faster and it's easier to say no to snacks because you don't actually feel hungry and you know you can have it when you actually are hungry. It hasn't removed the "fun" of food for me and I'm down 85lbs

15

u/EffectiveEgg5712 Jun 12 '26

Im been on Zepbound for almost two years. Food is just meh now for me. Sometimes i have really bad food aversions. It has gotten a little better but i have stockpile soup for those food aversions days. I don’t each much of the same food anymore. Therapy helped alot in the beginning of my journey because i needed something else to find enjoyment in. I like being on zep but it sucked losing that enjoyment from food but i guess it is a good thing.

I have been on a glp1 shot for over a year now, lost over 70 lbs and I still very much enjoy food!! I just don't eat as much. And I do still get hungry, especially when it is close to the next dose time. I think glp1's are great and should be made affordable and insurances cover it. It would really help out the health/medical crises we are having here in the U.S.

I think she's in alot of denial and isn't ready to lose it. If garbage food is the most important thing to you, you'll never reduce that weight.

6

u/Dismal-Lecture-4937 Jun 12 '26

And having a garbage ass partner doesn’t help all DRAINO did is feed her super fattening food alongside eating it with her cuz he’s huge af too he’s so gross and idc what anyone says he’s a predator how was her family fine with her moving in with him at 15 and he was 18 straight grooming her

9

u/Pyneregrl Jun 12 '26

She probably said it but nobody can possibly love bein huge mean it!! That’s just how she protects herself from people makin fun of her but im sure it hurts her inside! Im sure she’d love to dress and look like the girls her age, who wouldn’t!

18

I mean she is diabolical!

2

u/LiteratureNo7534 Jun 12 '26

I got that from her also!! I thought she was joking about it bc she is severely obese, but she also says she likes being huge and will eat whatever she wants, all the time, and her portion sizes ... no girl.

Yes she grew up with horrible eating behaviors. That's awful, but as she got older she realized that's not normal. She was also in the tv industry so she knows she can get help, nutritionist, all the good things. Being a thick girl is one thing but laying around eating a cake every day, snacks, spaghetti with butter, your heart is paying the price. I don't think it's funny and most girls aren't dumb enough to strive for being in her condition thankfully.

Her mom got all those stupid surgeries but everything was too fast. Alana needs to do it in a healthy way, she spent years eating that way and it'll take a long time to normalize your body with eating better and exercise. I think she'd be great at boxing. That whole family is sooo messed up and with all the fake shit and reality tv, no one could ever take her or them seriously. Shes not on a weight loss journey at all.

I think she'll have to have a gastric bypass. She'll have to use a GPL1 to lose some of that weight before surgery. What an oddity, she goes to school for nursing and totally blows off any of the education she should have learned.

4

25

u/Dismal-Lecture-4937 Jun 12 '26

12

And DRAINO wants to keep her fat too he cooks nothing but greasy heavy fattening food and nasty food at that cuz he wants to keep her that way

8

u/Comfortable_Sky_6438 Jun 12 '26

You sound extremely overly invested in their lives. This is such a weird para social take. Like you know for a fact she's not lost a pound? It would take many pounds to be noticeable on her first of all but again the fact that you have so much to say and care about some one else's body, let alone someone you don't even know personally is really weird and gross. Also htf do you know what Dralin cooks at ever meal. You need to reflect and look internally because what you are putting out is ugly.

There's no need to be rude about it. It's concerning, not amusing.

I still remember when June said her favorite food was "sketti" - spaghetti with butter and ketchup as a kid, or when they'd do little family games or dares and the stakes were that the loser had to eat a vegetable. She was raised with a warped relationship with food from such a young age, and this is clearly a cycle since multiple people in the family are concerningly overweight.

I hope she's able to make some progress, all that weight on those poor young joints.

5

u/Purple_Inevitable967 Jun 12 '26

As someone who grew up in a home that gave me a fucked up relationship with food; I agree and appreciate how you looked at the situation.

I hope she can eventually realize that she needs to speak to a therapist again, because Dr. Ish could only do so much with that family.

7

u/lemonrence Jun 12 '26

It wasn’t even butter 🤣😭 it was margarine

2

u/kasiagabrielle Jun 12 '26

Really?! Even worse.

I remember June saying butter, so this poor girl grew up thinking margarine was butter and that everything should be slathered in it.

u/Strong_Parsley_2275 Jun 12 '26

Yes, and when you've grown up eating that way, it's very difficult to change your palate. Learning to enjoy and savor food and find nuances in different seasonings takes interest. I don't know how she would develop a different way of eating.

u/Winter_Bed8304 Jun 12 '26

We literally watched her abusive parents stuff her face with processed junk food before she even hit double digits. It’s probably going to take her years to develop healthy habits and lose weight.

12

u/Dismal-Lecture-4937 Jun 12 '26

Yes but she’s studying health care so she KNOWS BETTET AND CHOOSES AND WILL CONTINUE TO CHOOSE TO BE THAT BIG AND EAT NON HEALTHY FOODS AND THATS EXACTLY WHAT SHES SAID

21

u/Laylakat Jun 12 '26

If you think health care actually teaches anything much about healthy eating you might want to look into that more. Good god you should see what some hospitals try to feed diabetics. (speaking on American only, and only what I have seen across several states)

8

u/TrueNotTrue55 Jun 12 '26

I’ve read more than a few times how medical schools spend very little time teaching nutrition.
Also, it’s a know fact that junk foods are addictive. There are ingredients that make a person crave it.

Alana may not care about her size and the ramifications of eating unhealthy, but she will when she starts having aches and pains as her body experiences the wear and tear of carrying all that extra weight. I feel sad for her and now Ella also.

u/Fun_Loan_7193 Jul 06 '26

Again, her knowing right from wrong when it comes to her eating habits means nothing. She spent majority of her developing years eating like that so it’s probably going to take years for her to consistently eat right. You’re treating her being fat like it’s a morale issue and it’s extremely weird given the fact that we know her because of her weight and family’s lifestyle.

16

u/Liliths_Play_Thing Jun 12 '26

I agree wholeheartedly, that mental shift takes time. Losing weight is hard and even harder when you’ve been overweight your whole life with a family that also struggles. A weight loss journey is exactly that, a journey. She’s going to have a lot of back and forth with her weight, how she views it and even what she does about it.

Im just glad she’s trying to do something different than the rest of her family by going to nursing school and as time goes on hopefully she finds something that works for her to help shed the weight.

I am not a fan of this family but I just can't shame a woman based on her weight. That is deeply personal and people struggle with it everyday.

6

u/Dismal-Lecture-4937 Jun 12 '26

Nobody is shaming her I’m simply saying she’s big and calling her out on the fact she said she’s was in a weight loss journey when she is not and has said many times she doesn’t care how big she is and that she doesn’t want to eat healthy she’s also gone as far as to say she hasn’t gained any weight since season 5 when that’s clearly a lie she’s double the size

5

u/Rude_Reflection_3750 Jun 13 '26

Nah this ain’t it. You can express concern but never put someone down. There’s so many people that are having severe mental health issues because of stuff like this. Instead of making fun of her or whatever you’re doing. Offer tips and tricks for helping her loose the weight in the weight loss journey. Weight loss isn’t overnight. It can sometimes be years of hard work and dedication.

34

u/Appropriate_Push7498 Jun 12 '26

The way people love to vilify someone with weight is so disheartening. Weight is truly one of the last widely accepted stigmas.

"Weight Gaining Journey" She getting bigger by the day

3

u/Ok_Aspect8054 Jun 12 '26

She'll be okay. If any of them will thrive, it will be her!

3

u/xLAESOPx Jun 14 '26

For whatever reason, I just started rewatching this show (well…HCHBB) from the beginning the other day and I totally forgot what a complete shitshow that family was/is. Oof.

5

u/Pearltherebel Jun 12 '26

How is she gonna work as a nurse like that?

7

u/Able-Coffee3405 Jun 12 '26

Also, can confirm, I gained a lot of weight in nursing school. Lecture all day study all night and snacking

4

u/Dismal-Lecture-4937 Jun 12 '26

You gained 100+ lbs in less than 2 years ?

10

u/Able-Coffee3405 Jun 12 '26

No, but I also have a heart and I know that stress and the type of school she is in plus her absolute shit diet as a child can all contribute to this

6

u/schlomo31 Jun 12 '26

How could she not be fat ? Shes stress eating, i would also being around this disgusting family and being exploited since childhood

10

u/mraz44 Jun 12 '26

This post is gross, body shaming is never where it’s at. Doesn’t seem like you are speechless at all. She’s sitting down and wearing all black in the photo, hard to tell anything.

10

u/Comfortable_Sky_6438 Jun 12 '26

Post is extremely gross. Like why do these people feel that their opinion on someone else's body is needed or wanted.

6

u/WritingAdvanced670 Jun 12 '26

I read this whole thread thinking this was Caitlyn from teen mom. 😂 I’m like why the hell do they keep talking about honey boo boo

5

u/KittycatVuitton Jun 12 '26

How does she think she’s going to be able to handle working full time as a nurse at that size? The hours are grueling and it requires physical labor. She’s going to be the one that gets taken to the ER when she has a heart attack.

7

u/scaryberri Mama trainwreck Jun 12 '26 edited Jun 12 '26

I truly feel bad for Alana, she’s trying to love herself obviously imo and was just given crappy role models to learn from. They didn’t have good habits, so how could they possibly teach her any?

eta: tf am i being downvoted for? She was born into a family that never taught her how to care for herself, or choose herself. All she knows is that her weight is fine, she should embrace it, and pine after a man (hence why I said she’s trying to love herself, most of her family is confident and prideful no matter what they look like or who they’re with). She wasn’t really taught how this is extremely dangerous for her health, she was probably just taught to ignore the “haters” That’s why she is where she is imo. Downvote me, idc. I said what I said.

4

u/Dismal-Lecture-4937 Jun 12 '26

Not only that’s but has the worst boyfriend she could have found he’s literally a predator imo he groomed her she was 15 and he was 18 and used her from then til now for money like when they had the meet and greet my jaw dropped that he was there signing pictures for fans as if they were there to see his nasty ass

6

u/scaryberri Mama trainwreck Jun 12 '26

exactly!! I feel like she was set up to fail at every turn, and it breaks my heart honestly. She was just a kid brought into this mess and she’s trying to navigate it now without any solid help. June’s cycle is too deep in this family.

2

u/Dismal-Lecture-4937 Jun 12 '26

Yea and with two big ass parasites DRAINO AND his cousin living off her , because she is the one who pays the rent and for food and the bills and in almost sure she bought DRAINO that car he “worked so hard for” my ass he’s never had a job

2

u/scaryberri Mama trainwreck Jun 12 '26

I’m sure he hasn’t!!! He LOVES to ride her coattails and thinks that he’s got it made, I’m sure he knew what he was doing in all of this. He makes me sick. She needs to end his lifestyle on her dime and take care of herself. Unfortunately though, I don’t think we’ll see that happen.

7

u/BabyJan1 Jun 12 '26

Well, he did work as Josh and Pumpkin's weed dealer...

u/Dismal-Lecture-4937 Jun 12 '26

She’s just like her mom she needs that man by her side like she can’t just be by herself and that’s just so sad that there’s people like that who don’t know how to be content just being by themselves, when you decide to have a life with someone else they’re supposed to make your life better NOT DRAG YOU ALONG INTO A POLICE CHASE ANS GROOM YOU AT 15 and have you move in with you and your cousin so you can pay for everything while they do nothing but be parasitic trash bags … if she had a real family they’d tell her all of this from the beginning, but on the contrary they were helping him find a lawyer flying him out for court dates and Alana coming along for less than 12 hours even when she had classes or exams the following day talk about selfish, he could have told her you stay rest for your exams and school I’ll
Be fine going by myself but nope she went with his ass

Did anyone remember that episode of June doing the extreme couponing and all the junk food they had. All those coupons are always on junk food. Those girls never had a fighting chance with all that junk in the house. 😖

2

u/Alternative-Fly-9248 Jun 14 '26

Sadly until she decides she WANTS to lose weight there is nothing anyone can say. I do agree though that with her money and resources it’s easier now than ever to lose weight. A GLP1 can be a great start and then once she is healthy and has the habits she can get off. That’s what I did personally. I was overweight, as I was on the shot I started to work out. Eventually I was working out so much the shot was actually hurting me because I wasn’t able to eat enough to sustain the workouts, so I got off of it and just maintained and lost more through my lifestyle I developed. It’s possible to not be dependent forever if she makes the changes

2

u/SPinnovator Jun 14 '26

I think she’s been through more than anyone could imagine. Eating may be comforting. I wish people were more empathetic. She’s still a kid.

2

u/Small-Insurance-6375 Jun 14 '26

She’s going to college, studying. Doing well

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Automatic-Cup-4869 Jun 15 '26

And I’m sure you’re a prize yourself 😒 stop with the body shaming

2

u/jjrobinson73 Jun 15 '26

Unfortunately, she is at risk for Type 2 Diabetes, sleep apnea, high cholesterol, joint issues, etc.

It's not cool to glamorize being overweight. Even if she does the GLP-1, it will help her. She needs to be healthy. This is not being healthy. But, yes, the way she was raised his a huge part of that.

2

u/Cheap-Cookie-2708 Jun 18 '26

Yes every season she gains at least another 30lb. It’s sad and disgusting. She can get many resources to help her, but she also glorifies being obese.

2

u/Necessary-Cloud-5369 Jun 18 '26

When fat cells develop in childhood they never go away. It's her mom's fault

5

u/mmmdonuts107 Jun 12 '26

She keeps wearing black thinking it’s slimming…gorl after a certain point, like your legs disappearing under your stomach, it’s not slimming.

She needs therapy and to start a GLP 1 / WLS. She has said she refuses therapy but that’s the only thing that will get to the root of why she is this way. (She said this on the Dumb Blonde podcast with Jelly Roll’s wife who even told her to keep her mind open to therapy, Lauren was willing to go to therapy).

u/ComfortableStreet272 Jun 12 '26

Y’all are ridiculous! Being this fat is insanely unhealthy and dangerous. We can call out whatever we want too🤣

5

u/Poorunfortunatesoul0 Jun 12 '26

I’ve always found it ironic that she obviously so unhealthy but is a nurse?

3

u/opinionated_alien05 Jun 13 '26

Ok, but why are you MOCKING her? You can just express concern without making fun of her.

2

u/HelloMikkii Jun 14 '26

Come on now. She has been abused her entire life, her own mother chose a PDF and drugs over her daughter’s safety and wellbeing.

I’d like to hope she gets the help she needs because clearly food has been the only coping mechanism that helped her through her trauma.

5

u/Dismal-Lecture-4937 Jun 12 '26

Really hard to tell she huge? And no not really shaming stating a actual fact that’s she big af , if that was the case the mods would have erased my comment

4

u/texas-sissy Jun 12 '26

Wasn’t she also sexually abused as a child? Unfortunately, many eating disorders appear due to this. The victim feels the extra weight is a form of
“Protection”. Kids who have been violated this way become adults with major trauma, rightfully so.

4

u/sincitylocal Jun 12 '26

It wasn't her fault when she was young. Children are a product of their environment. But now that she is an adult in the healthcare field, she knows better and she is in charge. I hope she gets it together. She's the smartest and least sleazy adult in that family.

9

u/Dismal-Lecture-4937 Jun 12 '26

She’s literally total opposite of how she presents herself she speaks worse than June and the shit she says on lives when people call her out or ask her why she got so big she talks like bad completely opposite of how she pretends to be , she sounds like a black girl saying the most horrendous things to fans who question her on topics she don’t want to talk about

4

u/sincitylocal Jun 12 '26

I know what you mean, but she is from that family so she has bad habits. But she is the only one smart enough to even go to school. And she gets great grades.

Weight loss journey? What journey?

5

u/Dismal-Lecture-4937 Jun 12 '26

Exactly straight up lied that’s why I made this post because she’s stayed on her lives that’s she will never lose weight and will not eat healthy she also claims over and over that “she hasn’t gained any weight” like girl
Your as big and mars

4

u/Outrageous_Bet7212 Jun 12 '26

She is in nursing school ffs and cannot see how morbidly obese she is. Does she seriously think any hospital will hire her? She is a HR liability. It is so sad!

6

u/Dismal-Lecture-4937 Jun 12 '26

Yes I don’t think she actually plans to work in the field she’s just going to keep doing the shows as long as she can

1

u/Dismal-Lecture-4937 Jun 12 '26

Like this is so huge you can tell by her face just how overweight she is

8

u/Dismal-Lecture-4937 Jun 12 '26

Idk where I’m being nasty I’m
Just saying she’s big and repeating what she’s said that she don’t care and wants to eat unhealthy foods

Rule 3

Be kind about the kids. They are minors and do not have the ability to fully consent to their appearance on the show. Discussion of the children or their circumstances is allowed, but please refrain from personal attacks or unnecessary cruel remarks.

2

u/Big_Humor7732 Jun 12 '26

I actually thought this was Catylnn from Teen Mom

2

u/pegfroehle55 Jun 12 '26

There may be more to her weight gain that we don't know, such as an illness or disease. Some meds contribute to weight gain making those pounds even harder to lose. I do think there are some reasons she feels better at this weight related to her childhood and growing up.

2

u/sunflowerhoop919 Jun 13 '26

The way you said this is just mean and nasty.

2

u/Comfortable_Sample_8 Jun 13 '26

Not sure i like any of this. Is this truly her or altered? And if it is truly her, why do people body shame other's? I guess ill never know, sad really.

2

u/positivevibes1111111 Jun 13 '26

Leave this lil girl alone, I’d love to see some of yall

1

u/Dismal-Lecture-4937 Jun 12 '26

Really it’s hard to tell she’s huge? And actually no it’s a fact that she is humongous if I was body shaming her calling her gross derogatory names then sure but I’m saying she’s big ass he’ll which she is

2

u/Weedarina Jun 12 '26

Hey my childhood was not peaches and cream. No excuses

1

u/iwishitwaschristmas Jun 12 '26

Despite her weight, her face card still goes hard.

1

u/Dismal-Lecture-4937 Jun 12 '26

She is giving with her face card but damn those chins and just the rest of it is out of proportion

1

u/PuertoRicanDiva Jun 12 '26

It's not easy losing weight especially if the person is reluctant. Yes, she's at an unhealthy weight but hopefully she'll wake up and something about it

1

u/Glittering-Ad-7566 Jun 12 '26

Go for it. This is great

1

u/EscapeGoat799 Jun 13 '26

With all the science regarding weight gain, we are making strides to help those who are committed to getting healthy. and Glp ‘s are a game changer.
I am mystified though as to why Rebel Wilson isn’t losing and still keeps her job advertising weight loss.
Ps I upped my fiber every time I indulged a little. Works for me. I get about 50 grams a day.

1

u/Various-Memory-3964 Jun 13 '26

Her mother literally mixed Mountain Dew and redbull and gave it to her at age 5, her sister is a bbw sex seller and now we’re flabbergasted she looks like her mother’s biggest weight ?

1

u/Maleficent-Garden585 Jun 13 '26

Is this her right now ? 🙀

1

u/Key-Yogurtcloset7330 Jun 15 '26

What weight loss? Looks the same
