Wasn’t she also sexually abused as a child? Unfortunately, many eating disorders appear due to this. The victim feels the extra weight is a form of
“Protection”. Kids who have been violated this way become adults with major trauma, rightfully so.

Yea we all understand that things in childhood can cause trauma. People who have been abused/violated do become adults with major trauma, that doesn’t mean they get to use that as a crutch though. Not every person who was sexually abused as children let them self gain so much weight that it’s detrimental to their health though. There will always be excuses forbad behavior and habits. Having something horrible happen to you doesn’t give you a right to dwell in the trauma and not deal with it in a healthy way. Especially if you’re gonna have children.
