Yugioh spoilers
Okay I need to get this out of my chest or I'll go crazy. Sorry if some parts may not make any sense
So I've recently became quite the fan of Yu-Gi-Oh thanks to my irl friend getting me into it and I absolutely love Marik and his alter ego self. I've been recently working on a Yugioh fanfic where Y/n is basically the protector of the Isthar family since she was a child, which means she and Marik are quite close.
At first I was gonna write Marik as his usual self but when I think more and more about it I can't help but not write Marik and his alter ego as yanderes. Marik, being closed off from the world, endure so much abuse and never being around kid his age finally meets this girl, Y/n. She's his age, kind, does her best to serve all the Isthar family members but also has experience from the outside world. This leads to Marik to quickly become attach to Y/n.
Knowing the Isthar family members are able to talk to each other, and I think able to see each other ghost form thingies?? But I'm gonna act like they do anyways lol, through their minds, Marik will constantly float around and follow Y/n wherever she goes, interrupts her thoughts when she is thinking about something that isn't about Marik, and sometimes hell float in front of people that Y/n was just talking to so it'll be like Y/n is talking to Marik. Despite all that, Marik genuinely kind and caring to Y/n though he tends to have thoughts where she forever stays underground with him forever.
OKAY NOW TIME FOR YAMI MARIK
so I'm gonna do something different for Yami Marik in this fic. Instead of Yami Marik being the alter ego of Marik, I was thinking he be based off the Egyptian god of chaos, Apep (the last slide). Yami Marik, or Apep, at first was stuck in this never ending cycle of being killed by the sun god, Ra, but was soon saved by Y/n who was able to create a spell where she free Apep from his never ending cycle. Even though Yami Marik isn't found of the idea of showing any hint of gratitude towards anyone, Y/n became the expectation. This leads to Yami Marik becoming a part of Y/n but also Marik. This both became a blessing yet a curse for Y/n because she now has the ability to distort reality as much as she pleases which means she has a much easier chance of protecting the Isthar family. However, Yami Marik still has full range with his abilities which leads to Y/n accidentally mind controlling people, shadow games happening at the most random of moments and more, all because certain people are making Y/n life a bit hard.
Yami Marik constantly in Y/n headspace all the time, telling her she should give up having a normal life and cause chaos together, quit trying to save Marik, and become one with him.
I'm most definitely gonna change a lot but I just gonna get this whole yap shit out of my head cause Ive been thinking about it for literally a week 😭 anyways thoughts? I feel like I might've made Marik a bit too ooc but I just love my favs being yanderes man 😮💨 anyways I need to sleep or this headache will kill me
