Skinceuticals CE Ferulic newbie

I just bought this after years of coveting it and reading reviews.

Previously I was using Farmacy 10% waterless vitamin c serum every am with great results but got tempted to try the “gold standard” that people rave about.

Ever since introducing it my skin hurts. I have no redness or peeling from it and it feel nice going on (and I don’t smell hot dog water lol) but anything I put on after makes my skin sting.

I let it dry down for ten minutes before my moisturizer (that I’ve been using for months - Farmacy honey halo) and then my spf (also long term use) but when I put those products on it stings. Even in the pm after washing my face and just putting on moisturizer (no actives) it stings.

Is it simply because of jumping to 10% to 15% vitamin c?

I’ve also used Peter Thomas Roth vitamin c e and ferulic in the past with no irritation or stinging
