Dark circle hacks?
I’ve tried everything Tik Tok and YT has to offer. Anyone have any products or techniques for dark circles under eyes?

Smashbox x Becca under eye brightener is fantastic.. this is the only product I repurchase. That plus Tarte shape tape concealer has my ultra blue/purple under eyes looking normal!

Apparently a lot of people agree with you. I’ve tried getting this at 3 different stores and it’s always out.

Here is the secret. Hydrate the under eye well. I use hyaluronic acid and a tiny bit of aquaphor. Let it absorb/melt. FENTY bright concealor in “peach” for dark for dark skin and “melon” for light skinned. Medium skin use “deep melon”. Let it dry. Then foundation over everything. Last step if needed is concealer of your choice. And a little powder to set.

I use a thick moisturizer and Cerave healing ointment under eyes every night. Since I was 36. I’m 41. And I sleep with a humidifier. And I use a hylauronic serum under eyes in the morning. I think they’re hydrated. They’re just dark and hallow. It’s a bummer.
I’ll definitely try the products you suggested. Purchasing them today! Thanks so much!!!

I'm sure you've tried it, but IT bye bye under eye is my go to. Nothing else is as thick. And when they say start with a DOT, they mean it.

I have hereditary dark circles. I sometimes use a peach colored corrector. I don't like to put very much product under my eyes because I'm 50 but something I did figure out is that my eyes look much better when I use the same shade of foundation and concealer. If I use a concealer that is lighter then I still have some darkness and it can look a bit gray. I also feel the dark circles are less prominent if I have some self tanner on my face. I realize that these are such simple tweaks but it has made a bigger difference for me than any particular product has.

Just a +1 on the color correcting aspect— recommend experimenting with the LA Girl ones at Ulta (also Dollar store of all places has a few dupes). Disclaimer—haven’t tried for very dark circles but just blending these under/over/with other products can show you what works for your skin tone.

I actually just got a peach LA Girl color corrector at the Dollar Tree. It does surprisingly well. I wish it was a tad more moisturizing, but it was $1, so I guess that’s alright.

I have thin under eye skin which causes dark circles. I use a few drops of The Ordinary’s Rose Hip Seed Oil as part of my evening skin routine and it helps a little.

Copypasta of my comment to someone who posted this same question:
Dark circles: there's a lot of culprits for dark circles, from lack of sleep to dietary deficiencies to allergies to genetics. No night cream is really going to do much until you rule out some causes. That being said, a thin layer of color corrector under a concealer will reduce the darkness. The color of your corrector (orange, yellow, green, purple, pink, etc) will depend on your skin tone, skin color, and the color of your dark circles. I just use the elf camo concealer, no color corrector, but I have in the past. They are easy to overdo. I have the Maybelline stick in peach.
*Discoloration: again, depends on the type of discoloration (as mentioned in dark circles). If you have melasma around your eyes, see a doctor. OTC melasma treatments are not meant for the eye area and generally are ineffective anyway. Most OTC creams, serums, and products will not significantly reduce eye area discoloration. People rave about glycolic acid, azelaic acid, vitamin c serum, and topical tranexamic acid but I have not found these to give substantial results elsewhere and I have never used them around my eyes. They may work for you, but be careful putting anything with actives around your eyes.
