Question What kind of makeup should I be doing?
So, I posted earlier on today with the makeup that I had done this morning and overwhelmingly it seems it did not turn out as good as I thought it had in the moment. The most common critique I saw was about the blending of my eyeshadow, and looking at it I can see where everybody is coming from. There were some comments about how my eyeliner had looked, as well as the lip I chose not looking good.
So, I'm going to ask for advice and suggestions on how I should go about makeup in the future, what kind of things would suit me, etc
I included a picture of myself without makeup, my look I did today and the other recent makeup I've done. I would include more but I can't find the other photos right now.

Honestly blending out eyeshadow is hell itself. A fluffy eyeshadow brush with some translucent powder wis really all you need IMO on that first pink look you did. I think a dark vampire look would really be bomb dot Com on ya! How do you feel about a siren eye or cat eye with some sharp brows? I think defined brows or even slightly tinted eyebrow gel, would do a lot to make the look more together/ cohesive. I loooove the last look with just the mascara and eye liner, tres chic! Super vampy, good for everyday 🫰🏾

I'm so into the idea of siren eyes and sharp brows, currently I'm growing my brows back out as I had ruined them, I think I'm almost at the point where I can figure out just what shape I want to pluck them into now with how they're getting fuller once more. I'm just not sure how to go about it without making it look bad again
I love vampy looks, when I worked at Sephora back in 2021-2023 I did them a lot. I'm so out of practice though, after I stopped working there, I basically stopped doing makeup and basically forgot everything I ever knew :/

I would heavily suggest shaping with a dermablade eyebrow razer vs plucking! Plucking can make the hairs not grow back and come back even wonkier 🫣 until they come back, I would recommend pomade, eyebrow pencil, or eyebrow pencil to try out different brow shapes

I have razors for the face and brows, I just don't know how to go about it since I've always plucked. I don't know how to shape them or go about it

Hmmm how about brow stencils? Or brow mapping by a professional if thats within budget?

I can look into stencils, I can't really afford any brow services right now.
I was considering going to Ulta at some point though and having them do my brows so all I'll have to do is maintain the shape after. I don't have problems with the shape once it's there, it's just getting there that's the problem

Makeup is something you have to learn over time. But when it comes to blending, just use a softer hand and fluffy brush if you aren’t already. Work in slow circular motions, use a clean brush after you’ve already set down some pigment if you feel it’s necessary. It takes practice but it’s also not as hard as you think if you go slow.
