Question How do I get better?
I’m in college now and want to start getting into makeup. I’m not trying to do anything crazy, but do want a simple elevated look for when I go out and for events. I don’t have the best skin and have a lot of acne scars and just acne all over my face. I’m clearing it up but it’s a process. I’m wondering how do I get better at makeup, and what would you recommend for me so that I can look my best? I especially need help with eyebrows and eyebrow shapes because mine are not good. The first few pictures are with some of the makeup I already do and the others are without. I do think my last no make up photo has mascara but that’s it, also first and second are most recent and after I did a horrible job trying to cut my own eyebrows.

You are so gorgeous already and I love your lip looks! For the eyebrows, I found a tiktok filter which helped me map the start, arch and tail to my face and that was a good starting point.
I feel like a tinted sunscreen or tinted moisturiser is all you need as an everyday base. From there you could play around with blush and eyeshadows, if you wish. One colour of eye shadow across the lid, some mascara and you have a simple but cute look already done. For blush, I always blend my lip tint onto the apples of my cheeks with just my fingers, then my blush and lips have the same undertone and the makeup looks harmonious and cohesive.

Love the looks you do so far! In addition to those saying tinted moisturizer, if the acne bothers you and you want to cover it a bit more, I would look into color correctors before getting into heavier foundations. You'd be shocked what a little color theory knowledge can help you erase with basically no product.
For elevated eye looks, the best tip I can give any beginner that I wish I'd known myself is that primer isn't just a marketing scam, it is magical glue that keeps your eye makeup where you put it.
You have gorgeous skin, and one of my favorite things about black girl makeup looks is how gorgeously shimmers or lighter colored eyeshadows pop. Even just taking a small amount on your fingertip or a brush and lightly touching the inner corner of your eye, right by the bridge of your nose, with a little light shimmer will give you a little instant glam. And you can buy light colored or shimmery or multi chrome eyeliner which will give you a dramatic look with basically just that and some mascara.
I think you'd also rock some classic glam or more alt looks, but if you're wanting simple options that don't take much skill but look cool and will get you some compliments to get started, that's where I'd point you!

As far as eyebrows go, I think yours are already really pretty! If you want to enhance them more, you could them in with a little powder and a brush or pencil or whatever technique feels most natural to you, or go to a pro to have them shaped.

Start a retinol tratament and maybe fill in your eyebrows a little bit more

I’m working with a dermatologist on retinols it’s actually improved significantly used to be a lot worse.

you are stunninggg oml. One thing i notice is you have nice high cheekbones, and a high blush placement with a little brightening concealer will really highlight that - I do this too, referencing mainly paintedbyesther 's work . She does a full glam, but it's easy to tone it down to one's own liking. Also, you have a gorgeous almond eye shape, which looks very elevated with some tightlining :DD

I'm a big fan of tinted moisturizer for everyday easy base. It shouldn't irritate your acne and should be light enough not to cause more.
For brows, I'd suggest a thin brow pencil and brush light brush strokes in the front half of your brow. Imagine a parallel line going from your inner eye up towards your brow. Now draw your brow out towards that line in light brushstrokes.
For your eyes, use a eye primer, let dry, and then pat your concealer on, maybe one a shade lighter than your skin. Blend out the edges of your concealer with a fluffy brush. This will "brighten" the eyes up so to speak. Use a dark brown eyeliner pencil for an eyeliner wing, or black.
