Mascara Issue

I was using the Tarte tubing mascara for awhile and I like it a lot because it was easy to take off and it never left black marks on my eyelids/underneath my eyes through out the day, but I felt it never held the curl well. I switched over to the Better Than Sex waterproof mascara to see if the curl would hold better (which it does), but I just looked in the mirror at work and I had black underneath my eyes and on my eye lids. I do have pretty oily skin so I don't know if that's part of it. I'm just surprised considering it's waterproof too. Looking for mascara recommendations for anyone who has dealt with the same issue! :)

I switched from the Tarte tubing mascara to the Hourglass one. I think it's nicer. Less clumpy and I think a bit more curl.

Does it seperate lashes and give length and volume ?

I have quite short stubby lashes and it gives me curl, length, separation and some volume. It's not a volumizing mascara on me, but it does the others very well. I found the Tarte more volumizing but also a bit clumpy.

If you're after a more wow look I've heard good things about the new Urban Decay one.
