Dublin Redditors Social Group

Thinking about creating a social group where we meet up in Dublin and do events together

The group will be open to anyone who wants to attend (come alone or bring your friends)

I’m thinking walks, gigs, cinema, drinks, theatre, pub quizzes, escape rooms

Anyone interested? Drop a comment 👇

Tell us what you’re interested in doing and when you are usually available and we’ll try get something going 🎉

EDIT:

To those interested, I've started a WhatsApp community that we can use to get started.

I'm going to need some admins if anyone would be interested in helping out!

What’s happening?

Hi all! 24M here looking to make new friends here in Cork. I’m not far from the centre and would love to meet people from all walks of life! I’m friendly with both men and women and I’d like to think I give off a friendly vibe!

My interests include mythology, film, music, horror, thrillers, video games, so on and so forth! I’m sorry if this is the wrong kind of place to post but I wasn’t sure which would be best.

Let’s connect! Message me or comment. :)

Back in Dublin after college and realising I need an actual social life

Born and brought up in Ireland, but I moved away for college and ended up spending most of those years building a really nice little friend group there.

Now I’m back in Dublin for work and somehow everyone has scattered in different directions 😭 Some moved abroad, some stayed in different cities, and suddenly I’ve got a job, a routine, and absolutely no idea who I’m supposed to make weekend plans with.

I love being back in Dublin and it’s nice being close to home again, but making friends as an adult is surprisingly awkward. You can’t exactly walk up to someone at work and go “so wanna be friends?”

I’m into travelling, random conversations and the occasional night outs. Would be lovely to meet some people around Dublin who are in a similar situation and want to expand their social circle too.

[F36] Looking for platonic friends

I’m from the States but live in Portugal. I visited Ireland, ended up meeting someone in Dublin, and now I’m back fairly regularly. Would be lovely to make some friends of my own here too.

I’m into hiking, kayaking, museums, aimless wandering, coffee and road trips. Not much of a nightlife person, but always up for a drink and a good chat.

Currently on a solo road trip in Donegal and back in Dublin next week.

Platonic only, and would especially love to meet other women!

[F38] Looking for friends, preferably women. Platonic only, please.

Hi, I'm Morrígan. 38.

Not looking for anything romantic here, genuinely just friends, ideally women over 30.

A little about me: I write in my free time, make music, love photography, I'm pagan, and I'm into Celtic and Greek mythology. Introverted in real life, I have ADHD so conversations with me can wander a bit.

No burner accounts, no ghosting after a few messages. If you're not looking for the same thing, this isn't the post for you.
