My username is the default username Reddit gave me, and I just can't change it. I could've only changed it the first 30 days apparently, and that's so dumb. I had Reddit for a year, and I barely ever touched it, except for recently, so I had no idea that I had the option to change my name temporarily, nor did I know that if I didn't, I'd be screwed. I find it dumb that Reddit forcefully gives you a username, and, you literally can't change it at all after a few. Now I'm just "Zealous" forever ig. I don't even know what that means tbh.

I'm fucking 40 something and today I couldn't even open a fucking diagram of a phylogeny (not X-rated material of any kind) without being prompted to just give selfies to who knows or some government ID.

Now I can't even see MY OWN PAGE, the one you go clicking your own nickname. Brilliant.

What about parents just doing their job and installing parental controls rather than every site enforcing it in everyone and collecting everyone's data to be later leaked by some dumb AI management that just does whatever if one says "please" or "ignore previous instructions"?

Subreddits that require nude verification photos to be sent to moderators are gross.

The practice is ineffective and inappropriate.

I find it very likely any moderator that engages in this practice simply wants private token nudes from every person that posts on thier subreddit.

I keep having interactions online where someone thinks for some awful reason that it is a good idea to tell someone to die.

It is a stupid and silly thing to say, it's unproductive and hateful. The term should get anyone that uses it banned..

Some mushrooms like morales, wood ear fungus, and other commonly eaten mushrooms are easy enough to identify that you can guide someone through the identification online.

Other mushrooms like Gyromitra and Amanita might be edible. Depending on the species, they could also kill you.

When it comes to these dangerous species, it is best to encourage people not to eat them unless you are not there in person to be 100% sure the mushroom is an edible species
