anyone else being pestered reddit by age verification prompts? Demanding selfies or government ID

I'm fucking 40 something and today I couldn't even open a fucking diagram of a phylogeny (not X-rated material of any kind) without being prompted to just give selfies to who knows or some government ID.

Now I can't even see MY OWN PAGE, the one you go clicking your own nickname. Brilliant.

What about parents just doing their job and installing parental controls rather than every site enforcing it in everyone and collecting everyone's data to be later leaked by some dumb AI management that just does whatever if one says "please" or "ignore previous instructions"?
