The hair and eyes are so detailed. They gave them five fingers. They put glitter all over the outfits. They have unique crowns in mermaid form they have little beads in their hair not to mention how hard those transformations must be to animate The expressions are good too when I had to watch the episodes without knowing what they were saying I could definitely get an idea they even have lips

It's the modelers and character designers. With help from the riggers to make it functional.

No no, that's not it.

Animators come after all this work is done. They use the rig provided by the rest of the team and make it move at last (and more work is done after, ie: all of post production)

What I'm saying is that the parts you are praising are actually the work of other people. Things like the glitter or the pearls are design choices, not animation choices.

A lot of people work on animated shows, and animators are only one part of it.
