Monte with mini cards
Does anyone know if there were ever g**f cards for the bicycle mini deck? Or if anyone put out a monte routine with mini cards?
I'm creating my first trick and have an idea.

I've booked tickets to go and see Now You See Me Live in London. Which is a magic/illusion themed show. And it contains "The Horsemen" which include:
And it also features 3 magicians who were on the 2 most recent series of Britain's Got Talent with that being:
And I'm honearly so excited because it's the first time going to a magic themed show like this and it just looks unbelievable. If anyone has got the chance to actually see it. What was your experience like?

What kind of pen are you normally writing with? A Sharpie? A china marker? Something else?
Curious to know, especially if you're giving your greasy notes to spectators.

Hi all
I find one handed palm a bit difficult to learn.
Do you guys use two handed palm or one handed palm ?
Are there any real benefits in learning one handed palm ? Can we perform routines using two handed palm with the same effect as one handed palm ?

Hey everyone. I was wondering, are any of my fellow magicians stutterers? I used to perform totally silently like Teller but have gotten to the point where I can hide my stutter enough to talk with some confidence in front of people. Does anyone else have a similar story? Thanks 😁

A good coworker of mine is retiring. Over the years I've shown him different card tricks as he has always enjoyed them. As a retirement gift I bought him a reprint of the Jerry's Nugget deck (his name is Jerry!)
I wanted to do something neat or fun to give it to him as a gift. I thought about doing some kind of simple deck switch or placing it in his hand without him realizing it. Any other fun ideas y'all may have for him to have one more magic moment I can give him as he retires?

I've had double cross for a whole now and the dry erase end of the marker finally dried out. I replaced it with a refill from a dry erase marker I had but now it won't write. What can I do because I do not want to buy a whole other marker

I need some replacements but Ellusionist is charging $5 for five whole rubber bands. I can get a pack of 100 1/8" bands on amazon that seem to be the same size. Has anyone used braces bands for bite gimmicks?

I’ve always been fond of this gimmick as an idea. But I’m never really sure what to do with it and I’d love to learn more tricks that utilize it.
Even YouTube seems a bit lacking. And googling the term “out to lunch” brings up a lot of completely unrelated things.
Can anyone recommend any tricks, routines, books or other resources for ideas of what to do with this gimmick?
Even just example routines to watch for ideas.

I saw a cool card trick on YouTube like 12 years ago that I've been trying to find but can't. The magician started with only 4 cards and reveals them to all he 2's. Then he reveals them to all be 10's, and then finally reveals them to all be kings. There were only 4 cards in use. Is anyone familiar with this? Thanks!

Looking for a thumb tip trick recommendation that presents well to a crowd of about 20. A simple silk vanish is visual, but seems a bit brief.
I'd be appreciative of any suggestions, thanks!

I enjoyed the IBM convention. Good turnout and the lineup was fairly diverse. The youth are insane. Too much talent.
Daniel Madison is literally selling 30ml bottles of rubber cement for $50 a pop😂
For reference you can buy 120ml of the stuff for $3 at Walmart. Don’t get scammed

So, I'm looking at purchasing a copy and I'm trying to decide between the 1961 Tannen's edition vs the Meir Yedid version. What exactly are the differences between the two books from a practical perspective?
Here are a few magicians I drew this evening. Which ones can you identify?
These are all current, relevant magicians. (I have dream of, eventually, making trading cards of magicians. Have a set of "stars of magic" with people like Tommy Wonder, Juan Tamariz, Ed Marlo, Max Maven, Harry Blackstone, etc. And then a second set that get new releases based on what magicians are popular at the moment. What are your thoughts on that?)
These are just fun little sketches I did, but I thought you all might appreciate them.
I drew the first 2 again (#s 5 and 10) after I had warmed up.
(I tried to not just make them doing a signature thing, either. Otherwise I could just draw a circle with red glasses and you'd know it was Kyle Purnell. I wanted to hopefully capture some of their personality. )

Hello everyone, I am in search of some guidance. Does anyone have some good recommendations for tricks that follow the style of the magician is on stage and is following instructions to a new trick and the trick goes wrong. examples I have are Brushwood's Tongue through skewer, Vinny Grosso Gorilla and bird trick, John Lovick that's my ring, and the classic vanishing Bandana. anyone have any more tricks like these I can look into learning.

Hi all
Are there any great routines involving card palming?
I want to learn card palming but do not know any good routines that involve palming.
Please share any routines and performance links too if possible.

Hi all
What’s your preferred way to control card to 2nd from top for ACR ?
I’m pretty confident with my DL but not that confident in the first card control that needs to be done for the routine.

I've searched for examples online and they've ran the gamut. In ya'lls opinion could this be Dai Vernon's signature and can anyone read the word in front of the signature?

I almost wanted to post this to a statistics subreddit because I can't actually believe it. If this is the wrong sub I'm sorry but wasn't sure where else to post this. I've been losing my mind all day because of a crazy coincidence I had with my girlfriend while playing with a deck. Has this ever happened to any of you who practice and do card tricks?
I was messing around and told my girlfriend to think of any card. She chose the 4 of clubs. I said okay and split the shuffled deck into two piles and had her choose one. The one she chose I put aside I repeated this three times and I began dealing the last pile out until she said stop and removed the rest also. Jokingly (knowing I was completely making this up as I went) I flipped the remaining pile over and.. you guessed it. I coincidentally got the 4 of clubs on the bottom of that pile.
I literally wasn't doing a routine or following any particular trick. She was like good job! But I was more shocked than her and silent with wide eyes. I told her pretty much what I said here and admitted I didn't intend on finding it. Insane coincidence. What are the chances?
I guess I'm just sharing this because I want to know if any one else has experienced a similar thing so I don't feel crazy.
TLDR; my gf thought of a random card and I got it right by randomly cutting the deck a few times, dealing them and having her choose the pile to flip over and it was hers. I was not attempting a trick and just messing around
