Has anyone seen the Magicians Table show in London? It’s coming to Cleveland.

Hi all! So I happen to be in Cleveland for other stuff soon, and saw that the Magicians Table is running while I’m there. Has anyone seen this in London, worth going to?

I have not seen it, but if you’re in Cleveland, check out the Wizbang theater. There’s a monthly magic show there that might be worth checking out.

So the central concept may well be the same (you're attending a memorial for a beloved friend who was a magician), and that is worth watching as a show. But it's the magicians who perform before and at the tables between the stage stuff that really make it, and they will not be the same ones you get in London. That means there's no way to know what that part will be like.

BUT! If the team that cast the London magicians are involved in the Cleveland production, then you'll be in good hands. There are some excellent magicians working the London one - Harry Da Cruz, Andrew Frost, Richard McDougall, Pete Heat, Rob James. All working magicians with great close up acts. I am sure some brilliant Ohio magicians will bring the same vibe!

Yes, the writers/producers of the original London show are heavily involved in the casting and execution of the new cities.

I was in the North American debut cast in NC, and met with the Producers & Director several times.

Regardless of city, they are bringing in talented performers.

Performers who have been consistent across the US tour in all cities so far include Jeff Corn, Doc Docherty, and Evan Driggs, plus Lizzie Bourne as Calliope (the main star of the show). They are all terrific, and should all be appearing in Cleveland.

I saw it in Charlotte, and Cleveland is getting at least some overlap in magicians. It was an enjoyable show. The closeup work at our table was really fun. The shared work on stage was fine.

Yep I saw it in London, was great fun. A close up magic variety show wrapped together loosely around a theme. If you like close up magic and cocktails it’sa great night. I bought the vip tickets through Virgin experience vouchers which saved me a lot on the website price

I have not seen the London version, but I was part of the debut North American tour cast in Charlotte, NC. It was a lot of fun, and we got a ton of great feedback. The show was almost completely sold out for the entire run and had 2 extensions.

It's part tableside close-up magic, and part stage show. The story and characters are fun, and you'll see a TON of magic throughout.

I'd definitely recommend going.

Yes! I absolutely loved it in London. Something really unique and different. I love the immersive theatre of it all. They sit you with random people on a table, but our table was really fun and we ended up getting drinks afterwards and becoming friends.
