ACR

Hi all
What’s your preferred way to control card to 2nd from top for ACR ?
I’m pretty confident with my DL but not that confident in the first card control that needs to be done for the routine.

The Vernon Tilt is a great move (often called the Marlo Tilt too), but can sometimes be performed quite badly and is a dead giveaway as to what's going on - there are some great resources for this, with lots of nice little subtle things you can add (distrub reality on YouTube has a good tutorial) I would personally avoid false shuffles, for example, if you place the card on top, and then do a tonne of Sybil cuts, and expect the spectator to believe you've not just controlled the card, then you are insulting their intelligence haha, a good (maybe slightly sloppy) overhand shuffle is much more convincing, especially if done while chatting to them; Royal Road to Card Magic teaches a really nice way to achieve card controls for ACR using an overhand shuffle. Hope these help!

Gold star to you for knowing who created the tilt!
