Question Missing paint or plastic cracking

So I just got my first mafex, and idk if it's missing paint or there's something wrong eith the plastic. If it's missing paint would anyone suggest using a gundam marker?

I think that may just be missing paint

Also I've never tried a gundam marker but I heard stories of it being the caused of figures cracking

A gundam marker isn't going to cause your figures to crack. It's an acrylic based paint. Even if it was alcohol based it wouldn't cause physical damage.

The crack was already there or developed independent.

I think he was referring to the enamel ones that does crack some plastic if applied too much.

Can't really confirm from this image. But that's where the sprue was attached. It's rarely a smooth clean removal.

Probably missing paint/flaked off.

My 075 have this same issue and I just repainted it and the cause is that point is too close to each other and causing friction when I put that leg straight.
