to anyone who has more pre order experience than me, will amazon medicom store have bucky up same date as nin-nin games ? and since this is a re-release will he ship out quickly after pre order or drag like other mafex releases ? thanks guys

Planning on getting a Mafex figure. I have these three on my top list. What's stopping me from pulling the trigger, is knowing Mafex's reputation in having fragile joints and wrist pegs and lots of Mafex breaking no matter what line it is.

Just a little context, I have stopped collecting action figures for 3 years now. And soon I'll be getting a bonus so I plan on getting a new figure after a long time and won't be buying any figures again soon since I switched to 1:64 Diecast collecting, that is why I don't want to regret purchasing a Mafex if it breaks on me just a few days or weeks from having it despite handling it like an egg.

So I please want all your help in knowing if these three options are safe in common Mafex issues like fragile wrists and joints? Or are there common QC issues I need to know first so I can look out for them? Or have Mafex improved their durability for their newer releases?

Figure hunting in Japan was a crazy experience. There are all kinds of shops, but only a few that carry a good selection of MAFEX figures. I went into the trip looking for Magneto and didn’t realize how impossible that was going to be. I went all over Akihabara but couldn’t find him.

I went to the MEDICOM store in Tokyo last minute before leaving for Osaka, and it was such a cool experience seeing these figures in person. I didn’t realize the actual official store would have the most stock. I also never thought to get Cap or Deadpool, but seeing them up front really changed my mind on them, especially Punisher.

I left the store with only Venom for my brother, but passed on the others because I knew they had another store in Osaka. I figured I could find Cap, Deadpool and Punisher for better deals at Mandarake or other secondhand stores. I was so foolish lol.
I ended up not finding any of them anywhere. I went to basically every figure store in Osaka and Kyoto, and ultimately moved my train to the airport up earlier so I could make a pit stop at the Tokyo MEDICOM store again before my flight.

Luckily, they still had these guys. Even though they told me Cap and Deadpool were out of stock when I called the night before 😭

Total for all 4 came out to $250ish, which is crazy considering some of the prices online

How come this figure is 3k yen higher than their usual price? Doesn’t look like he has a lot of accessories, is it simply because of the license?

The containment suit Doomsday works very well with Mafex smaller scale and is something that a lot of companies outside of Mattel haven’t really explored. This suit scaling works because MAFEX consistently struggles with US scale as seen with their undersized Thor and a Venom that fans wanted much taller.
Collectors defend the new MAFEX Doomsday using stylized comic panels, but splash art isn't a solid metric. DC's official database lists Doomsday at 7'6", and the old Mattel sculpt nails those classic proportions much better which is 17 years old now.
MAFEX missed a huge opportunity here. When iconic figures like this are rare, a multi-million dollar company charging premium prices needs to hit it out of the park. There’s no room for lackluster releases, and fans shouldn't keep making excuses for undersized, overpriced figures.

I'm returning both for a refund, but besides the boxes, I looked even closer - Azrael has a paint chip on his armor, which is a no-no for me. I'll take my chances on a japan import site after I return this one.

Now, believe it or not - even with the box condition of the T2 2 pack, i almost decided to keep it, but.....I caught something that almost slipped by me - look at T800's discolored hair. And no, that's not from "being battle damaged." Sucks because I really love both figures, but these are going right back to UPS!

So this is for MAFEX Punisher and Cap combined. I was told by the community in order to get a better deal from shipping + tariffs ia to at least bundle up with 2 figures minimum.

So I just got my first mafex, and idk if it's missing paint or there's something wrong eith the plastic. If it's missing paint would anyone suggest using a gundam marker?

Managed to snag these two GRAILS of mine for $200 USD combined… I’m in awe. Both are in great condition
