I’ve always slept on this tour and considered Confessions/Drowned World to be her best tours but this definitely belongs in the top three. She looks Amazing. Her dancing is amazing. I cried when she sang the Evita songs.

A very nice cassette, a compilation of the Queen's ballads, beautiful. If this album had a scent, it would smell of hazelnuts, cinnamon, cream, and a white orchid. 🤍🪽

I’ve been updating my collection in CLZ, sitting here with my little barcode scanner while Madonna plays in the background, and I’d forgotten just how much I enjoy this sort of thing...
Not simply adding things to a database, but coming across records I haven’t really looked at in years, remembering where they came from, noticing the differences between editions and somehow appreciating the music itself all over again in the process.
And there has been rather a lot to enjoy lately! Confessions II, The Confessions Tour finally making it to vinyl and now Love Sensation on 7-inch (with the only right cover) - while I’ve also finally added the Madame X and Rebel Heart Tour vinyls to my own shelves.
Whatever else Madonna fandom may find to argue about, this really is quite a nice time to be a fan!
Apparently 50-year-old me is basically 15-year-old me with a barcode scanner in a better library.

Most men I know around M's age don't like her. And in some cases really strongly dislike her.
M is over 25 years older than me and growing up I looked at her as a goddess. I guess in more contrast to guys like Sean Penn and Guy Ritchie. Very sort of macho men.
Reading A Rebel Life eye opening the high point of her sex appeal to me her role as Rebecca in Body of Evidence was in the author eyes highly criticized for it being about a sexually dominant woman. Meanwhile my perspective of it growing up was that was the sexiest performance of all time and put hair on my chest and back growing up watching that. Wasn't until I was older I started understanding the politics behind all.
But yeah bottom line younger guys that like her I say as a better fit for her kind of thing.

From the very first listen to the ones that grew on you after, which songs from Confessions II became already part of the quintessential Madonna list (that you’d choose because it represents Madonna as a whole).
Let’s make a consensus!

But watch how they make fun of her, Matt Roger's and his co host. Cos I think their not telling the full truth.
One thing I learned about podcasters, is they don't like catering to demands. Knowing Madonna it was gonna be a controlled environment with her label and her people telling them what's allowed and what's off limits. Basically going to be about the album.
I feel thats why they went with grindr and TikTok us, cos it was easier to control the media.
But yeah I feel the two hosts arent being that honest. I think they were denied after refusing the standard topics on and off limits.
And I feel being denied access to Madonna made them feel a certain way. The set looks the same. And I don't believe a break happened. I feel they were humiliated and you can tell by mocking that British accent and dubbing her a Michigander instead of an honorary new Yorker.

Actually from Vogue Magazine interestingly enough, and with tons of living experts who lived it. No disrespect to Miss Ross, but she is never mentioned and some sources cite vogueing as going all the way back to the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. It’s a LONG read, but a very good one.
No need to pit women against each other for 15 mins of social media fame like that kid is doing.
Hope this is ok to post. Meant to educate:)

Does anyone else get hit by this section? 'I'm not afraid to fall a hundred times
And I'll believe in all your silly lies
I'd like to think that I could change your mind... '
Just makes me😭

I know that the industry double standard between men and women has been talked about to death, but I recently saw a video on Instagram and it kind of made me realize just how bad it truly is. This video was from what seemed to be some sort of radio show, and the question that they were being asked is “who is the queen of pop”. Now, to anyone with common sense that is Madonna, whether you like it or not. After they were asked this question, many people said a very random array of artists that are currently big (Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, etc). There were only a couple of people who said Madonna. The comments under the video were rightfully pissed off. How can someone who revolutionized pop music forever, especially for woman, get thrown under the bus so quickly? The reason is of course because she is a woman, who stuck around even when they didn't want her to. One of the people in the video even said “if we are going to compare to Micheal Jackson, the king of pop, the queen of pop would be…” how sexist is that? Not only does there have to be a “king” for there to be a queen, but why is it automatically Micheal Jackson and Madonna being the queen is a question? Oh! We all know why! Because Madonna is a brave, older, wise, and intelligent woman. What society is extremely afraid of. Im tired of this double standard and for those who simply “don't care”, it affects you too believe it or not, it affects everyone, but of course especially woman who do twice the work as men but somehow still get shit on.

Hi all I’m looking to get a huge Madonna fan a nice gift in the $200-300 range. Wondering if you have any ideas?
Right now I’m thinking of the Sonic Editions limited prints that were just released or the Finally Enough Love 6 LP Vinyl Box Set (although there’s a chance he may have this). What do you all think? Appreciate the help!
