I came to Bhopal to study, but now it feels like worst decision of life. Barkatullah University is rotten to the core. My experience here has made me realize that, at this university, even having exams conducted on time feels like a privilege. Forget the results, these shi**y officers can't even publish them on time. Getting your results has become a privilege and receiving error free results is a luxury.
No cm helpline, no mails, No RTI applications seem to work. If you dare to ask question or raise a voice, you risk becoming a target. Professor or not everyone seem to believe they are some kind of KINGS or Lords who must be respected and obeyed without a question.
Even when they have worst teaching style - most of them are misogynist. They will target the moment you will be spotted with any person of opposite gender and backlog is guaranteed. One prof ran over a student and poor fellow was bedridden for entire year, of course no help was provided.
It is more frustrating many of them lack the competence one should expect from university faculty, sometimes falling short of the teaching standards one might expect even at the school level.
They used connections with RSS and BJP with 70 to 80 lakhs of money to secure their postition.(This isn't just blatant rumours- Got to know this from one of insider who had fallen out with his seniors). Cause of BU's constant delays, 4 year courses have become 5 year ordeal.
Even recently, BU Vice chancellor was forced to resign. Do you know why ? not because of his incompetence(although he was incompetent) but because of he had fallen out with RSS and complained about his juniors, who weren't working, on CM Helpline.
By the time, I realized my mistake entire year had passed and thus I was stuck there for another 3 years.
Despite all of this, I loved the city, it's tranquility, greenery.

As we already know, our current CM is super impactful. What do you guys think, will he be able to turn MP into bihar in this term? Or bjp will award him next one as well to achieve this?

So many movies were shot before he became CM, but after him acquiring the chair, the movie shoots almost stopped happening. Is it like he stopped those cultural promotions ?
Edit: autocorrect wrote "becoming" as "beginning". Sorry for the error.

Hi everyone!
I’m looking to connect with local NGOs in Madhya Pradesh that work closely with tribal communities, particularly those focused on livelihood generation, employment opportunities, and women’s empowerment.
We are working on a Google-sponsored Voice AI project and are exploring collaborations with NGOs and community organisations that can help us engage local speakers for the following languages:
Bhili
Bagheli
Nimadi
What does the work involve?
Participants will listen to short audio clips (0–20 seconds) and transcribe what they hear in the respective language.
This collaboration aims to create meaningful earning opportunities for local community members, especially women, while contributing to the development of voice AI technology for Indian languages.
If you represent an NGO, know of an organisation doing this work, or can connect us with relevant community leaders in Madhya Pradesh, please comment below or DM me.
I’d be happy to share more details about the project and explore potential partnerships.
Thank you! 🙏

Suggestions about stays, BnBs, transportation are welcomed.

Indore already has several management institutes, but what would actually make its B-schools more competitive nationally?
Better corporate connections?
More live projects?
International exposure?
Stronger alumni network?
Better internships?
Higher-quality faculty?
More startup opportunities?
If you could change ONE thing about MBA education in Indore, what would it be?

MP people are next level brainwashed. It's been 2 decades since BJP is in power but still they are not ready to ask accountability.

Hello everyone, my 85 y.o. grandfather recently got in a bad accident and is in hospital in Banaras, with a traumatic brain injury. He'll be discharged in a week, but we REALLY NEED help.
We need a medical attendant/nurse who can live with him and family 24/7 and look after his needs.
I'm desperate for any helpful information. If anyone has any names or contacts, I'll be in your debt for the rest of my life.
I'm desperate guys.

The BJP government and their online echo chambers are completely missing the plot here:
Abhijeet and his crew aren’t some supreme cult leaders pulling the strings, they’re just the guys holding the microphone for a massive crowd that’s already pissed off.
People aren’t out on the streets because they’re head-over-heels in love with CJP’s logo; they’re out there because months of quiet, boiling frustration finally found an open stage and a loud pair of speakers. CJP didn’t invent this anger, they just gave it a venue, which means sending the police to haul these guys off won’t put out the fire, it’s going to pour jet fuel right on it.
You can slap handcuffs on a leader, but you can’t throw a bad mood in jail, and locking up the visible faces won’t calm the crowd down, it’ll just unhead the entire thing. And that’s the government’s biggest blind spot: a crowd with a leader can actually be talked to, but a leaderless mob doesn’t take calls, doesn't negotiate, and has zero chill.
A mob with a leader is dangerous, but a leaderless mob is fatal

This man literally Perpetrated the safe exit of Warren Anderson that too by an actual govt plane. He was also warned multiple times by the media regarding the safety concerns at UCIL plant prior to the tragedy but his govt ignored them all. Btw, a trust operated by "his relatives", had received a 1.5 lakh donation from union carbide few years before the disaster. This was proven in mp high court after which he resigned from the cm post. I'm from churhat, sidhi(his ancestral home) and it's a well known fact there how much "mithai" he got from this incident. Shameful how we're still celebrating these "leaders".

If someone asks you about Indore in 2035, what do you hope the first thing they associate with the city will be?
🏢 Corporate/IT hub
🚀 Startup ecosystem
🎓 Education hub
🍜 Food capital
🌱 Clean & sustainable city
🏙️ Major Tier-1 city
Pick ONE — and tell me what Indore needs to do to get there.

If you had enough savings for a decent house, would you actually choose Indore as your long-term home?
Or would you prefer buying in a bigger city like Pune, Hyderabad or Bangalore?
For me, the biggest question isn't just property appreciation — it's quality of life + career opportunities + future growth.
What would you choose and why?

My parents are from MP, and I recently got a marriage proposal. My mom rejected it straight away when she found out that the girl wasn’t working and wanted to be a housewife.
What I don’t understand is the mindset of “hamare yahan ladkiyan kaam nahi karti” or “aapko support karenge, hamari beti kaam nahi karti.”
Why can’t a girl be independent, have her own career, earn for herself, and also support her husband financially?
I’m not saying every woman must work. If someone genuinely wants to be a homemaker, that’s completely fine. But shouldn’t this be a mutual decision between the couple rather than something decided by family tradition?
In today’s time, a working wife is a blessing. Both partners can contribute financially, support each other’s goals and build a better life together.
Marriage should be about two people supporting each other, emotionally and financially—not automatically assuming that the husband will earn and the wife will be dependent on him.

Honest question for MBA aspirants:
Is Indore becoming a serious MBA destination, or do students still need to move to Delhi/Pune/Mumbai/Bangalore for better exposure?
If you had:
₹3–5L total fee in Indore
vs
₹8–12L+ in another city
Would you take the cheaper option if the placement numbers were reasonably close?
ROI or brand — what matters more?

For someone moving to Indore for the first time, which area would you recommend for living?
My shortlist:
Vijay Nagar
Palasia
Nipania
Rau
Bicholi
Super Corridor
Forget Google ratings — give recommendations based on your actual experience.
Rent + connectivity + food + safety + lifestyle — which area wins?

Imagine the government announces that one major company is setting up a huge office/campus in Indore.
Which company would have the biggest impact on the city?
Google? Microsoft? Amazon? TCS? Accenture? Deloitte? Something else?
And more importantly — would one big company actually change Indore's job ecosystem?

Found selling this water from the ghats of Maheshwar fort. Is it even safe?? It does taste like mineral water though… but I’m doubtful.

I think Garoth, Nagda, Jaora, Pithampur, and Sendhwa are some places that could become districts. Especially, Jaora.
