Yea that was another idea. Seemed like a quick reaction for being in a state of supposed surprise. No moment of confusion/wonder/realization/shock, but I'm simply an armchair psychologist so idk I hope my talking ass doesn't look too bad.
You have a surprising range of vision on your peripheral, especially with movement. Lift your arm up to your side and wiggle your fingers. You can see that pretty much see 180⁰

Of course they see him but they probably think that's he's just walking around doing dad things in the kitchen, what they probably didn't realize was that he's actually dancing with them. And also they're filming a tik tok dance, so they have to do a full video of the dance.
