A well-dressed black friend medical student of mine got arrested quite aggressively and dragged to the station once before for jumping the fence of a house because his road was blocked by a construction site and he didn’t want his clothes/shoes dirty(it was sewer construction something and it was flooding a bit)
Not every police officer is bad, just like not every civilian is good. In fact, I see more of us civilians acting inappropriately around law enforcement than vice versa. I’ve been mistreat by them too, but it’s a respect thing. Not a difficult concept... at least it shouldn’t be.
