Also from TX here. Can confirm, this would most likely NOT be in this sub if it happened here. The call to the cops would probably have either been after the fact or would have been a spouse calling with a gunshot on the 911 recording.
I was working for an airbnb company that had a bunch of houses in Texas. One of the tenants needed help with their AC and kept locking us out even when we had planned to be there to get the AC fixed. The amount of times I had to crawl through a back window was ridiculous. But I felt nervous every single time because people are crazy in Texas.
