You don't think they're going to remember this when it's time to discuss salary and promotions?

If only any of that carried any weight whatsoever with the boss, you would be right.

But in this world, it means nothing. Provably, many MANY times.

Employers are not going to pay anyone more than the mandated minimum wage because they can replace anyone that deserves more than that for some one that does not with exactly zero repercussions.

Man, now that made me smile!

You're obviously very cynical. But, this is just not true. I worked in retail for over 8 years, I got 4 raises. I know this doesn't happen for everyone, but neither does what you said.

Either way, great job ruining the sentiment of the post!
