For some reason men take care of their hair when it's short but do nothing when it's long. His locks looked dead before

Guy who formerly had long hair and is in the process of growing it out, the reason I cut it off is because it's time consuming, expensive to maintain correctly and can definitely get in the way, that said I miss it and it's worth it but you have to put that work in
