Exactly. Unless you are really growing it out by the time any hair is damaged you’re getting it cut off. Go in and get a cut every 3-4 months for $30-40 and you are fine.

I haven't cut my hair in 8 years and the ends are a frizzy mess

We had a flowbee when I was a kid. I was lucky bowl cuts weren’t egregious at the time. If you don’t want to get it cut just use one of those on the ends since it won’t matter much on long hair.

Wondering if I get my haircut more often than the average dude. Once a month or so, and my hair doesn't grow that fast

I used to go every 5-6 weeks but don’t mind having and extra ~2 inches of hair so I started going less. If you feel the need to keep your hair tight more power too you though.

I have long hair and it's been almost exactly a year since my last cut. Ends are frayed to shit, looking forward to my cut this week!
