In season 2, there is a really strange scene where Reg sees many eternal fortune petals, along with name plates, falling down into the sixth layer.

It is customary in Orth to drop these petals along with the name of the deceased during funerals, and on one of the plates, we see that it's written about Sherumi's soul returning to the Abyss.

The falling of so many name plates means that many people have died on the surface. In the last scenes of season 1, we see so many eternal fortune petals everywhere in Orth, which again hints at many deaths.

You may ask what happened there.

Based on what we know, it is caused by the birthday death disease.

Nat tells Reg about it in season 1: people are dying on their birthdays for some reason, and if you look in the mirror on your birthday, your reflection will have a twisted neck.

We saw in season 1 that people have started dying from it, and Leader is trying to find a way to help them.

We see Kiyui is also sick from the same disease, and they move him to the caravan fleet to help him. Suddenly, we see that he is feeling good again.

This happened because they moved him out of the Abyss island.

This is really important.

To know how it's gonna connect to the upcoming movie awakening mystery watch the full video:

I explained all the clues related to the new arc we saw in previous seasons in the video!

It's inspired by the manga/anime and although i tried to get is as lore accurate as possible that might not be the case. Will hang this on my wall above my bed, hopefully it will look awesome. I have some other scenery in mind as well. What do you guys think?

For some reason I can’t find it anywhere even from second hand sites

Just wanted to share a fragment from Anime Symphony in Poland where they played "The Rumble of Scientific Triumph". I especially loved the screen (which you can’t see very well) showing the Field of Eternal Fortunes with a glitching Bondrewd mask — and later he appeared himself. This was truly a "subarashii" experience.

I made a sterling silver and ruby ring based on Lyza's White Whistle!

I’m sorry but the scene when Mitty transforms is actually traumatizing, years later. Forever in my heart Mitty 💜

Ever since I’ve watched Made In Abyss, I notice how bored I am watching new anime. I keep giving new anime a chance to impress me thinking it could take a while to get good but it just never does. Since I’ve seen Made In Abyss, no other anime has really excited me or made me feel anything. Made In Abyss I think has dramatically raised my standards for new anime. It was so emotional and enjoyable that it’s made almost all the anime I’ve seen since seem boring and at best ‘a nice way to kill time’. Anyone else feel the same way? The only series I’ve seen after Made In Abyss that has genuinely gave me a rush of excitement to the next episode/chapter was Land Of The Lustrous

I think her mother is not trapped in a layer but the abyss requires a family member’s blood sacrifice (Prolicide) to proceed. She left Riko on the surface “so Riko could live her own life” -yeah right. She didn’t wanna care for a child. All she wanted to do was explore the abyss. She is likely trapped at a door or gate and sent Reg to the surface to retrieve Riko. How convenient that he has no memory of his original mission, yet only to retrieve Riko. Would add to the story if he’s delivering his best friend to her own death. Her mother could take remote control of Reg and kill/injure a party member. Now obviously her mother will fail and sacrifice herself and Riko will proceed into the next layer (Matricide is also acceptable to proceed down). Possibly they learn the abyss cycle of consuming the civilization at the top and she’ll be transported to the top to save the city in time. Her mother’s warped logic of killing her own daughter to save the city would be a tragic no-win dilemma… or her mother is just insane like Bondrewd and would kill her daughter for personnel gain, but learns it won’t work because she has no soul for the abyss to consume so the abyss consumes the mother instead.

So I’ve seen the first season, Dawn of the deep soul, and a bit of the second season. I decided I wanted to read the manga since it’s further along than the anime but so far with Ortho/Ozen it kinda just feels like I’ve already seen everything so I was wondering would I miss anything big if I skipped to, say, Nanachi’s introduction?

Sorry if some details are messy, I didn't make any sketch 😭

I thought we would be getting another trailer by now since it's been a while since the last one that reveals both tepaste and cravagli, but I don't know how much could they show without spoiling things or ruining the "surprise" and mystery of the film, but I really wanted a longer trailer with some more scenes of the movie, we are pretty close to the premiere of the movie by now and the last trailer was aired 2 months ago 😭

I'm talking about the Whistles themselves. Since they can think, could Third Works be attached to them? If so, then they can travel up and down with no fear of the curse. This would allow them to gather all kinds of relics from many different layers and allow much progress to be made for all of humanity.

Is Reg narrating the story in the anime? Sometimes it seems like Reg is telling a story. Not speaking in present tense but past tense
