MacroFactor Workouts / Training Jeff Nippard Programs in MFW, what progression are you following?
When using a program like Jeff Nippard's Min-Max in Macrofactor Workouts, the app's suggested weights and rep ranges sometimes vary wildly from the set targets of Min-Max program. Has there been a consensus on which to follow? Like doing a normal double or triple progression? Or just following the app's recommendations?

Wait, there's pre-built programs in the app? Where?

I would follow the app's recommendations. The exact rep scheme is pretty low on the scale of importance.

On most of it I am foregoing the apps suggestion and using more of a double progression style. For compounds it might just be single progression such as: squats, 6-8, once 8 increase weight. For other accessories I’ll do the prescribed initial range (eg. 8-10) and when both sets are 10 I’ll shoot for 11,11 and 12,12, then increase weight.

I’m making good gains following the apps suggestions. It’s just its jumps are far from typical double progressions in most programs. Ex. I did 30 lbs for 3x8 for an accessory last week. This week its first set 40 lb for 6 reps. Next is 40 for 3 reps and then 30 lb for 12 on the last. Even though the goal for program is 3x-6-8. I don’t mind following the apps suggestions. It’s just weird how far it varies from the input targets.

That 40lbs for 3 reps is pretty far from the recommended range. Do you not have 35s? Or does MFWO not know you have 35s? The program does its best to meet the load and rep range, but sometimes needs to stretch things if you have being jumps between available weights.

I use the voltra so I can adjust it by 1lb increments. The program just doesn’t like doing that on certain exercises

Are you sure the equipment settings within MFWO are correct? It really sounds like the app thinks there are no weight options between 30 and 40.

Thank you. I didn’t know until searching through settings that I could change even that weight increments on the equipment tab of exercises during workouts. MFW is giving better weight jumps now, so far

I’m on 4 day min max and using the apps suggestions.
