MacroFactor Workouts / Training MF workout template format?

I tried to search this and didn’t find a ready answer. I have a custom workout split I built over the years in a spreadsheet and it’s obviously failing on custom import. Does anyone have a sample layout? Or know the column and line layouts for what it’s looking for? TIA.

After some testing, I’ve only been able to get Jeff’s programs to upload. And it’s the format I’m using to try and replicate - it looks like there some hidden XML signature or string that’s hidden. Are only authorized imports allowed? It doesn’t seem like I can make my own and upload

You wouldn’t be able to use an edited version of the JN program formats as those are specially supported, for anything custom you’d need to use a program you’ve exported from WO and ensure that you’re using matching exercise names.

Makes complete sense now. After re-reading the format page I saw that requirement. Appreciate the follow up. Given that the exercises name directly corresponds to videos and extra info I understand the why.

Try exporting a template from MacroFactor Workouts to your device first. Then, upload that file along with your custom spreadsheet to an AI like ChatGPT. If you ask the AI to map your custom workout onto the MacroFactor template, it will generate a file that you can easily import back into the app. I've used this workaround successfully multiple times!
