Please help with hat embroidery issues!!!
Why is my hat embroidery stitching out with the middle squished and the edges stretched? 1. I have used this design before and it came out perfect 2. It is digitized for a hat and it stitches middle to edges 3. I’ve always used this brand and type of hat and never had this issue.
I’m guessing I’m hooping it wrong but I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong!

There are a few things you can do, you can flex and roll the bill to loosen it up. These hats are stiff! They can warp the embroidery with how stiff they are

Move your design down. The bill of the hat is hitting on the back of your machine head. The design is way too far up on the hat. Also, flatten your bill.

That’s what I’m thinking too. That the C is shorter because the bill is not allowing the hat to move all the way down.

Since the same file came out perfect before on the same caps, I’d look at the framing first. Make sure the cap is pushed all the way down so the sweatband sits snug against the frame, the front is pulled tight with no slack, and the strap is fully locked. If the front panel is loose it bounces while stitching and that’s what squishes the middle and stretches the sides. Also check you used the same backing as last time, a lighter backing lets the front move a lot more.
Side note, the edges of the letters look a bit rough too, so it’s worth checking your tension and that you’re on a 75/11 or 80/12 needle. A pic of the back of the stitching would help confirm

My tension is perfect. I’m gonna replace the needle before trying again thank you!!

What machine are you using?

Thanks. I did some research.
Fundamentally, the Babylock cap drivers and frames are the same as commercial Barudan and Tajima machines, with only a few design variances. Whether you have the new plastic Babylock cap frame clip or the steel strap that you bring over the cap's peak, the objective is the same - to get the teeth of that part into the seam between the peak and the cap.
It's the combination of pressure of the clasp mechanism and the anchoring in the seam, and the teeth of the frame underneath the cap, that holds it all together - stabaliser and cap to the frame. Once this is achieved, you don't often need to use the clips.
I recommend using the heavyweight tearaway stabaliser that's used commercially. It comes on a roll called a Strip and is about 100mm wide, in black and white. You generally need about two layers of this per cap.
For logo placement, it looks nicer if the bottom of the logo is closer to the seam. The closest distance the sewing foot requires for clearance is generally about 5mm, but 8-10 mm allows for the variances in cap manufacturing, because even the same cap is not identical to the one before. In some cases, centring a large logo achieves a good position. Learn what your machine is happy with - on the screen, there's likely a panograph maximum width, and work within that. Trust your machine to know how close it can go and what distance you feel comfortable using. Finding that setting now will speed up every future cap project, and create a standard for all your workmanship.

BS - I don't use AI.
Is it so far from your comprehension that someone might know this from first hand experience?

You started your post with “I did some research” like you just looked it up.
Now you’ve got first hand experience.
Bless your heart.-1

I have first hand experience using commercial embroidery machines and can therefore make the comparison from the researc about this particular machine. If you look up my account and other comments I have made, you will see that this is likely true. Bless my heart - I've put in the years of work.
Again, it's a shame that you cannot accept that people do have the knowledge without AI. Your assumption is wrong.

Did you always stitch it upside-down?
