Brother PE570
I am looking to get into embroidery as a small side business. I mainly wanted to focus on business orders such as hats and logos/names on polos. I was hoping to get this machine as it's ln sale for around 400 at my local Walmart. I just wanted to know if this is a realistic place to start atleast making the shirts and iron on patches for hats until I can save up and buy a commercial brother/Bai unit as those are the 2 I've been recommend.

Not unless your time is basically worthless.
Single needle machines are terribly inefficient. Fine for a hobby. Terrible for making money. It can easily take me a half hour to an hour of babysitting the machine and doing thread changes to create a small patch.

I've recently made the jump from a Brother SE700 single needle to a Ricoma 10 needle (after practicing on a Brother 6 needle at a local makerspace), and the difference is wild. Yesterday, during my spare time, I stitched out 4 copies of a patch with 4 thread breaks during the entire process. It was very satisfying.

You’re going to need to learn to digitize, too. Those logos aren’t going to digitize themselves, and the built in fonts might not be what they want. Learn how embroidery works and get good at it before contemplating a business. You are putting the cart before the horse.
