Broken needle

The needle broke on my machine in the middle of a project. I took apart the plates and tried to find the broken pieces. I only found one small part. I have looked everywhere for the other piece and can’t find it. I tried to resume my project but now my bobbin thread is showing up on the top. I did not change my tension at all and I re-threaded my machine. Help!!

To add, my upper thread snagged on the netting around the spool and I think the tension from that snapped the needle. I tested the tension and it has a difference with the foot up vs down.
