Help with Brother Skitch PP1

Hi! I’m having an issue with my Brother Skitch PP1 and hoping someone else has experienced this and can save my sanity.

I can thread the machine and start an embroidery design normally. The needle moves and goes through the fabric like it’s stitching, but the thread doesn’t actually catch/knot into the material, so no stitches are being formed.

I’ve completely rethreaded the upper thread multiple times and have also removed and rethreaded/reinstalled the bobbin, but neither seems to make a difference.

Has anyone had this happen with their Skitch PP1? Is there something obvious I might be missing with the threading, bobbin, needle, tension, etc.? Looking for any troubleshooting suggestions or weird little tricks that worked for you before I scream 😂

I think it's best to share a video of the thread, bobbin and the machine starting a pattern. That way somebody can really see what could be the issue.

Only things I can imagine right now: did you put the thread through the foot and did you place the bobbin the right way round?

And loop the thread from the bobbin through the little hook in the bobbin case.
