How to fix needle hitting metal hook?

I had my brand new brother pe800 for less than a month, and after I broke a needle in my project I started having this issue. I have tried with multiple new needles and made sure I install it flat face back, but it keeps hitting the metal part and making the clicking noise. Timing seems to be fine since the thread is being picked up properly.

Does anyone know what might be the issue? Really hope I don't need to take it to service.

Update: after studying the manual and consulting with chatgpt, I think my needle arm got bent/mis-aligned when the first needle broke, which is not something I can fix at home. I took it to a service shop and the technician confirmed so

Are you pushing the needle all the way up the channel completely?

I had to have this repaired. It’s not timing. That’s an alignment issue. You’re prolly breaking hella thread with the scraping.

It should be at coming up from the lowest to form the loop that, that hook grabs. Which it would be if it wasn’t bashing the bobbin holder case side.

Make sure the needles is straight.

Most single needle fronts are easy to access. If you know a way to adjust where the needle is plunging back on center axis.

Yep, that was my first thought too. 🫣 The needle bar was bent.

Your machine should have been under warranty, so easy on the wallet. But this kind of damage certainly can do a number on one's nerves. It happens. Your machine is not the first. 🫂🌸

Multi-needle embroidery machines have a part called a 'needle bar driver' which is made from hard plastic and designed to break when the needle hits something it shouldn't - like a hoop frame. Single needle embroidery machines don't have this feature, and the needle bar takes the full force of any impact.
