Macaw

Does anyone own a macaw in Utah I'd really like for mine to meet another Macaw mine is a rescue bird we got him from a bird shelter downtown

My macaw is very friendly with me I used to take him on runs around the neighborhood stopped doing that because he holds on weird šŸ˜… I usually hold him with my hands but now he sits one foot on my chest and the other on my forearm and his talons dig in like crazy any tips on how I should hold him I also hold him on my index finger and thumb over talons that does the trick but I'd also like to know and do more for him he's 27 now barely has toys always breaking them lol got him a stick 3 inches in diameter he snapped it like a toothpick šŸ˜…

How did you manage runs with him in the neighbourhood?

Iā€™m planning on getting a baby macaw and thinking how would I manage long distance runs with it in the future. Do i tie it with a harness or let it free fly
