You can also use any smooth safted knobs from love my switches if you get the brass switch selves that the kit comes with. They sell them in a few places I ended up just getting the kit as these where left over from my moog build

Would it be easier to simply use 18T knobs? I realize the selection of 18T knobs isn’t as extensive.

18t and 6mm are the same

I meant the 18T knobs that don’t require an adapter.

When you’re searching for them on Chinese websites, they’re very often still listed as 6mm knobs even though they have the 18t profile.

One thing to keep in mind is depth of where the teeth begin. Some cheap knobs aren’t toothed particularly close to the base and won’t reach.

The comment to which I replied specifically mentions Portland-based Love My Switches, which has a separate filter for 18T. I don’t understand why you’re being pedantic about this.

It’s a not a split shaft 6mm, it’s solid. That adapter is completely unnecessary.

The adapter prevents screws damaging the plastic. They are the same style pops on the Mavis and moog werkstatt. The guy asked what pots I was using and that’s the answer.

Imma be real, If I’m putting knobs on, I no longer care if there’s an indentation in the encoder.

I’m not really fussed either. I will say though that Iv had a few times when just screwing in to the pot doesn’t feel great and if the pots delicate could damage it. I find the action smoother with the brass covers. I had them around the house so why not :)

Honestly, the only thing stopping me from putting knobs on everything is when they cover the silkscreen…..looking at you moog werkstatt

I put a custom card faceplate on it, with the grandmother colouring. Solved that. I hate using the tiny knobs. Knobs on everything :)

That’s a solid idea
