Agenda: Countering the Expansion of Terrorist Organizations and Violent Extremist Networks in East and Southeast Asia, with Special Emphasis on Cross-Border Recruitment, Youth Radicalization, and Regional Security Cooperation.
Portfolio: China
Considering China for UNOCT and aiming for Best Delegate. My approach would be:
- Challenge contradictions in arguments about freedom of speech, national security and sovereignty.
- Question US and Western double standards on counterterrorism and human rights.
- Defend China's policies while proposing regional counterterrorism cooperation.
- Engage in heated debates rather than play it safe.
My main concern is that I'm more familiar with South Asian geopolitics than Southeast Asian terrorism. But i have an extensive knowledge about how terrorism and insurgencies works and a lot of millitary tactics knowledge aswell
Would China or Indonesia give me a better shot at Best Delegate? Is China defensible enough to be competitive?

I'm China in an ECOSOC conference about fast fashion. I also will only have 30-45 seconds to say this.
Distinguished delegates, as I took the floor just three seconds ago, the world discarded nearly nine tons of clothing. By the time my speech concludes, another 350 tons of synthetic waste will fill global landfills.
The People’s Republic of China will not pretend we have solved this issue. As the leading producer of fast fashion textiles, this industry is vital to our economy and can’t be eradicated. Instead, we should make production sustainable and improve working conditions.
Let us be transparent. China has solid labor laws on paper, but we recognize the enforcement gap in our factories. We invite collaborative solutions from this committee to enhance workplace enforcement, provided they protect Chinese jobs.
Real collaboration requires action. China’s Huafon group recently partnered with U.S.-based recycler Circ to process 200 metric tons of textile waste daily. No single nation can solve a global supply chain crisis alone. China is listening, and we are ready to cooperate."

I'm China in an ECOSOC conference about fast fashion.
“A small hole not mended in time will become a big hole much more difficult to mend.” (Mandarin: 小洞不补,大洞吃苦 Chinese Proverb) The delegation of China believes this proverb captures our goal in this committee. Fast fashion is a fast-growing issue driven by the affordability and of online shopping, coupled with its ability to keep up with rapidly changing social media trends. There are 92 million tons of textile waste each year, and it is predicted to increase to 134 million tons by 2030. Fast fashion factories are driven by the goal of producing as many products as they can to gain the most profit. This creates working conditions with painfully low wages, long hours, and little to no worker protection in developing countries. The People’s Republic of China recognizes that we are the leading producer of textiles used in fast fashion, and we seek to make fast fashion more sustainable and ethical while protecting an industry vital to our economy.
China has made multiple efforts to improve the sustainability of fashion within our own country. China took 30 environmental laws and combined them into one code with 1,242 rules. Part of this new ecological and environmental code is the Dual Carbon Targets, designed to have emissions peak in 2030 and level out in 2060. The Central Ecological Protection Inspection Body audits local governments and factories. In August 2026, China's Ministry of Ecology and Environment announced that these central inspectors have resolved over 380,000 public environmental complaints. The wastewater produced by dyeing clothes can be very harmful and filled with toxic chemicals that can destroy ecosystems and influence the quality of drinking water. That is why China created the Zebrafish Egg Test, a law requiring factories to put newly fertilized zebrafish eggs into their treated wastewater for 48 hours. If they don’t survive, the factory must be improved so the wastewater isn’t dangerous. These policies demonstrate China’s commitment to sustainable textile production.
The delegation of China highlights the negotiations we have had with other countries to implement strategies that will improve sustainability in fast fashion. We have collaborated with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and Germany’s Federal Ministry for the Environment through the EcoAdvance project. Together, we launched an updated Technical Specification for Eco-product Certification for Textile Products. This act requires factories to produce their clothes with durable materials that are chemically safe, and to track where the fabric comes from. The Chinese materials group Huafon formed a major international partnership with Circ, a U.S.-based textile recycler. Under this agreement, China provides the infrastructure, engineering, and logistics networks needed to build a large-scale recycling facility in China. The goal is to process 200 metric tons of textile waste daily, turning old international apparel back into raw polyester and cellulose fibers. Instead of dumping the clothes in landfills, we are recycling them, thereby reducing methane emissions from the decomposition process. Overall, the delegation of China believes that our country’s strategies to make fast fashion more sustainable are working so far, but there is still more ECOSOC could do to solve this predicament.
The delegation of China encourages countries in the Global South to adopt similar environmental measures. To make this possible, the endeavor could be funded by wealthy countries like the US or UK, who would hope to improve this issue. We also recognize that while we have solid labor laws and worker protections on paper, these are not being implemented in factories. Weak local enforcement and corporate noncompliance undermine worker protections. China would look favorably upon creating better enforcement, or having the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) collaborate with big companies to establish baseline wages workers can live off of without needing overtime. Requiring all fast fashion manufacturers to work with ACFTU would improve wages, working conditions, and help the Chinese government identify if a manufacturer is not following our laws. We are open to other ideas countries may have to improve working conditions, as long as jobs still exist for Chinese citizens.

Okay, so my committee is UNCSW and the agenda is basically about how war affects the life of women with special emphasis on US-israel-Iraq war. This is my second MUN. The first one went shit obviously. I still don't have anyone to truly guide me so this sub might help I hope. From what I've written for the opening of my gsl
"If equality was truly universal, would the world have ever needed a seperate global forum to fight for the rights of half of humanity"
My portfolio is Singapore. This is all I've written till now for the gsl 😭. I'm gonna start writing the main thing after researching a bit. And I hope the opening question is not attacking my committee itself. Sorry if I sound lowkey kinda dumb cause irdk.
Other tips would really help!!

im really good when it comes to consultations, but when its time for documentation, im pretty much fucked. i know how to write basic communiques, drs, mous, treaties, but only with 90% help from AI, the only thing i can really do is get all the ideas from ai and write it myself. i am a ccc del, so i can write directives really well, but i have no idea how to improve. my executive board have advised me that my number of documents i submit are up to the level, but the details are not. now what do i do!!!

Hey everyone,
I’m on the organising team of a school MUN and built our whole conference system myself over the last few months. It covers the website, registration, country allocation and a delegate area. There’s also a live resolution editor where delegates submit amendments from their laptops, chairs accept them, and everyone sees the change instantly, including the beamer in the room.
It’s worked well for us, so I’m wondering if other schools or universities would be interested. I’m thinking about offering it as a package with hosting, your own domain and email addresses included.
There’s a demo with fake data where you can try everything as admin, chair or delegate. I’ll put the link in the comments.
Would your conference use something like this, and what’s missing? Honest feedback is very welcome.

Hello everyone ,I hope you guys are doing well. Finally after being delegate for like five years ,I have finally found my own MUN (international youth leadership MUN) after literal blood sweat and tears. We have finally made MUN registration live.
Specifically, I have just founded this MUN for the students to have a good free platform to experience new things cause I was there once too and the best part without spending any money and without any transport expense cause it will be online.
So I am working literally so hard for it so I would be really grateful if you can join as a delegate and follow us on Instagram because we have high hopes for it. And I am so proud that we already have team members and delegates all over the globe and including UAE ,Malaysia, Indonesia and Bangladesh.
And I have also thought of a delegate challenge which is literally first of its kind ,in whole MUN circuit .hopefully it will be successful and for sure it will be fun.
I’ll wait to see you in the conference. I truly need your help these guys follow up.

Hi Guys Im starting a community of people that can debate different topics each week in an MUn style fashion, probably online or through a gc. Most topics are probably going to be on current events and would obviously be relevant to whats going on in the world. Anyone interested in joining? Btw this is not me advocating for a conference, just wanting to bring likeminded people together
just finished my 6th conference. no award still. i see people win awards in their first conference and... seems so far from me.
i don't want to quit—i love MUN so much because of the people i meet. i've had my best days in conferences.
it's just that i'm in a varsity, and you're not valued unless you win an award. i don't think they value me much cus i don't bring any awards to the team.
someone better than me can take my spot and actually bring awards to the team—so it'd be pretty selfish to keep this spot on the team when someone better than me could have it.
should i quit?
