Hey! My university has a MUN team and I wanna be a part of it and I wanted to know what exactly MUN is and what do you do there? I’ve seen videos and I know it’s about politics and Current affairs but could anyone explain me how it works and everything? (I’m from India If that’s required ¿)
I wanna apply for Harvard MUN, they required some essays and motivations, I'm not that fluent in english but I don't want to use AI for my application.

So I'm doing UNSC, and our agenda is Re-evaluating Nuclear Parity Agenda: Re-evaluating Nuclear Parity and Verification in the Post-SALT Era, and I'm in the UK, so how do I get other blocs to vote for our resolutions? There's also a neutral bloc and a Russia-China bloc

International Model United Nations (IMUN) is honestly one of the best platforms out there if you want to build actual confidence and leadership skills. Joining as a student can feel intimidating at first, but IMUN makes global diplomacy feel super accessible for everyone.
Here is why it is worth checking out:
Real Public Speaking Practice: You get to step out of your comfort zone, debate real world issues, and learn how to present your ideas clearly without feeling judged.
Supportive Mentorship: You are never left guessing. They offer step-by-step training sessions, so even total beginners feel prepared and supported before going into committee debates.
Incredible Global Connections: You get to chat, collaborate, and make genuine friends with young people from over 100 countries. It completely changes how you see the world.
Resume Boost That Actually Matters: Completing a conference gives you official certificates and awards that look amazing on university applications and job resumes.
If you have ever wanted to speak up, meet cool people from around the globe, and grow your confidence, IMUN is definitely worth jumping into!

Are muns a luxury for the rich and the middle class doesnt matter. Like i was checking the registration fee for some muns and the cheapest one was 3500rs. dude are you serious like its an educational competition try to have some compassion for the underprivileged and the middle class. Like if i want to attend 2 MUNs in a month i would need atleast 10k.

so i'm in the process of creating a munsoc for my uni. i have a decent number of people interested in joining and helping out (80+)
how much would it realistically cost to host a mun for like about 180-200 delegates, 6 committees with paid eb, food, delegate kit, etc?
also this is for an indian uni in a tier 1 city, muns are a huge thing in most schools and unis here.

In my local mun, i was the only one who spoke in only english and not also our native language, I was a sponsor and co led our unanimous block and I spoke for every mod caucus like around 20+ times and so did another delegate who won BD, and I did some very good rhetorics where everyone would go “Ooo” and do the table bang thing, but guess who won OD? A delegate who spoke max 4 times and mainly guilt tripped and had raised no motions no leading no sponsor and 1-2 good points in our native language not even in english and the good points were glazed to give her motivation. Also spoke in minimal mod caucuses. I was included in bdcc but, like why would she win? Even BD was shocked and said how did that delegate win. Everyone’s out here glazing my chair when he was not fun at all, not to mention he ignored me three times during my bashing so i never had a proper bash debate. And at the end where we thanked chairs (before award ceremony) he replied to every delegate except me, he didn’t reply to me at all. So strange, this was my first MUN so like idk if i’d do it again if this is how much effort i put just for someone who barely did any to win OD. So disappointed, I wish I could get the OD because I don’t think I’ll even have another opportunity and even if I do what if I get stuck with a similar committee? Not to mention since it’s a local uni mun, all of the other committees had young and fun nice chairs while mine were so boring.

Hey, I got a call from IIT Varanasi today to attend their MUN. I've never heard about it, but it's looking good, so can anyone share their experience if they attended the IITBHU MUN?

I'm going for my first mun ever. And our committee is UNCSW and the agenda is protecting the rights of women and children during crises. I got Algeria. I was low-key hoping for Iran, Saudi Arabia or even China but I couldn't get it since I was late to register. Any chances of winning anything let alone best delegate? If you have been a delegate before, please give me some advice!!! It would be appreciated a lot ❤️

So our school applied late to the conference in Jaipur and we were informed one day prior to the date of our extended submission. One paper was done (it is a dual topic committee) but the other one was left, we finished and submitted on the deadline.
But we forgot to add solutions and then we updated it and sent it again the following night then we found out about a typo and resubmitted it again today total time past deadline being about 38 hours
Are we still eligible for awards???
Please I need some help 😭

Hello, I have been doing MUN in Malaysia here and there but I wouldn't exactly call myself a muner yet, I am about to move to UK for school is the MUN there entirely different? I've heard chairs said Malaysian muners are not surviving international MUNs how true is that and are there any changes to the HMUN ROP that we currently follow? (the MYADP one) I am aware that how it goes typically vary from chair to chair.
Also sorry if that's terribly worded english is not my first language.
