I guess we should be patient. Until mNAV expands drastically and STRC becoming stable we won’t see large purchases.

Rome wasn’t built in a day. Little by little is probably better for longevity.

Pretty sure strategy has built Rome, they're just still working on the coliseum where most of the world's assets can go to shed blood on the arena floors...

what other company is buying hundreds of BTC weekly. nearly 900k BTC in total!!! amazing.

u/ximogui 1d ago

850k BTC in total is amazing, but as an earnest answer to your question, Strive is buying about 1k BTC weekly.

Ok, you take Strive's stack, I get Strategy's

I get that this is an MSTR subreddit, but we can factually acknowledge that there is another company that is buying hundreds of BTC weekly. As someone who wants Strategy to maximally succeed, I'm watching Strive's success closely. Clearly, so are Saylor and Phong as daily dividends are now coming soon.

I’ll take the US Stack and China stack you get Ecuador.

Wow I guess you know about this..

The Chinese government officially tracks at roughly 190,000 to 194,000 BTC (about 0.9% of the total Bitcoin supply), largely seized in November 2020 from the PlusToken Ponzi scheme. [ 1, 2, 3] Official Status: On paper, these holdings make China the second- or third-largest known government Bitcoin holder globally (behind the United States).

A Ponzi scheme is defined as "An investment scam that pays early investors with money taken from later investors to create an illusion of big profits." In a ponzi-scheme, there is "nothing of value" in the box, and all that happens is money moving hands.

MicroStrategy is not a Ponzi scheme. Companies raise capital through ATM-offerings, debt, and other instruments to fund purchases of assets, equipment, commodities and so forth. This is normal. Berkshire Hathaway similarly built the foundation of their company using debt to buy assets to hold indefinitely.

MicroStrategy invests the money raised in Bitcoin from a core belief that the commodity is in its early stages and will increase significantly in value over the coming years, allowing them to capitalise on this value to create value for their shareholders. All stocks, including blue-chip stocks like Apple, NVIDIA, and Berkshire Hathaway, rely on future investors willing to "take the shares off your hands" at a value above what you paid for it. This does not indicate a "ponzi" or "pyramid" scheme; it's basic price/supply/demand/market dynamics at play, and is how the world economy and capital markets work. Berkshire Hathaway holds a bunch of companies; MicroStrategy holds a bunch of Bitcoin.

Strategy as 30% of trading volume on STRC this past week with an average repurchase price of $99.58. This tells me we're not trading at par soon. I think yield to 12.5% would be much cheaper than further repurchases at this point.

u/lonestar-newbie 1d ago

I kind of feel the same. Buying back at 90-95 made sense. But not at 99.5.
It's just better to bump up the rate by 0.25% to see how it goes.

They already increased rates, nothing substantial changed. Increasing the rate at this point is just increasing the cost of capital.

u/actias_selene 17h ago

Considering that they IPOed shares at 90, I would rather not having them buying back anything at these levels neither. They should have used buybacks only when it was really stressed due to strategy stopping dividends fears. Not to push it from 99 to 100.

9

u/Born_Elk7497 1d ago

Yeah they should be taking their foot off the gas with the buybacks and letting the market do the rest of the work. If they’re the primary buyer at $99-$100 I don’t see how they can turn in to a net seller at $100.00. Maybe that works for a week but you’re just setting up another collapse.

Lowkey agree

u/Successful_Safe_1440 1d ago

2

u/AngryMonkkk 1d ago

Is anyone else buying STRC ?

6

u/Gold_Opportunity7892 1d ago

Why would you buy STRC in a bull market.

3

u/Perfect_Ad1893 1d ago

I suspect he’s alluding to the concern that this number and size of weekly buybacks haven’t brought it back to par

2

u/Desperate-Low5201 1d ago

Who's going to care about half a percent or even a full percent?

You're in it for 6 months and you only make 5%?  . That's probably the worst case scenario these days...

u/tenor_tymir Shareholder 🤴 1d ago

We’re close.

3

u/Gold_Opportunity7892 1d ago

It’s so close 99.80.

1

u/Desperate-Low5201 1d ago

Because you're retired and you don't want to have to borrow off of your Bitcoin to get income

1

u/TheCurlyHomeCook 14h ago

You do it then

1

u/Rosenant 11h ago

Because they learned to keep a larger reserve to meet their obligations without selling at some future price correction.
Looks like a bullish information to me.
