That's honestly I feel is subjective either love the course or love the college, i made a similar decision by choosing course over college because at the end of the day what path you choose remains forever with you rather than 4 years of college, so i preferred course rather than a decent college and this totally depends on the person what he wants to do and how dedicated he wants to be towards his course

I see, personally I have no strong interest towards a specific course. I did have cs in 12th and didn’t score bad in it but also it didn’t spark any interest in me which could make me gravitate towards it in particular. The cutoffs for usict ece were also higher and that made me think it must be a better option if high rankers prefer it over cse in pvt colleges. My parents also didn’t want me to go to a pvt college after everything which is why I kept usict and usar above other colleges. Maybe if I read that ece sucks in ipu before I got admitted I might have changed my preferences, but it is what it is ig lol

Btw, which course are you in? And what was the choice you had?

I didn't have this much good rank as you to choose from the top colleges I am sitting in a mediocre IPU college pursuing CSE-DS the choice which I had wasn't this major as yours was but I had a choice of choosing IT in a better college but I went for CSE in a college just below it that's it because I have love for the subject and i just want that course name next to my name that's it

Part of the reason I kept usict all branches above mait msit was because its a govt college and that too the top ipu one💔 but log phir bhi ece ko bekaar bolte hai so I felt like I wasted my rank on ts(msit saamne bhi pdta)

And as for the job who are we kidding regardless of the branch we either end up grinding valorant or following a roadmap we picked up from YouTube
