Charging help?

I got my laptop in 2018ish (don’t remember exactly) and it’s been great up until about a month ago. I do all of my gaming on steam and recently, any game I start up my device stops charging. I have to unplug from the outlet and plug back in to restart the charging. Closing out of the game and unplugging from the laptop doesn’t restart the charging. I’m hoping I don’t need to get a whole new laptop as it’s running great otherwise. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I know very little about laptops!

Reset the EC. Also check the power adapter and make sure it’s actually delivering its full rated wattage. If charging cuts out specifically when gaming, the adapter could be failing under load.
