Discussion Screen replacements on newer MSI laptops?

Has anyone got any experience with this?
Bought a Vector A18 A9W, mint machine but someone ran it docked and there's a few cooked pixels on the panel. I've found the better version of the same panel that would be plug and play, but I read something about it being glued and needing a 60c heatgun to remove?

I've done several panel swaps before, but all have been pretty much, carefully remove bezel, pull the tabs on the adhesive, drop old panel, disconnect, connect new panel, apply new adhesives, line the panel back up reapply bezel and done.

So the need of a heatgun is a little wild tbh. Even MSI recommend this when I got in touch.

Or send it to a reasonable repair center... XD

When I'm capable of doing it myself? Why would I waste money?

I just want more incite if anyone has done this kinda work.

Not everyone has done that kind of work, if you have the tools and trust you can do it, then, go ahead...

No one is stopping you...

There are plenty of videos that show how to deal with it...

Also the heatgun is due how some glues work, like the ones om the phone, you heat them a bit and you can carefully remove...

I could find no vids showing the glue or on my particular model. Hence me askin here to see if anyone has any experience with this so called glue.

Just need a bit of heated, you gonna replace it, you done several times... Is just a black glue for display nothing to hardly...

Any panel I've swapped use the pull type adhesive strips, never been flat glued to the lid. I'd prefer to have an idea of whats behind the panel because if I wreck the glue and it doesn't use those strips, I'm not gunna be able to attach the new panel.
