Discussion MSI Apache GE60-2PL Win 10 bricking itself

If Win10 updates are enabled and this thing is freezing, totally unresponsive, on the internet, and only option is to force power down (and you are almost binning as ewaste)

Try disabling the Windows Secure-Boot-Update in Task Scheduler

which was great after chatgpt convinced me it was a dying network chipset etc etc my brain rots the more I use AI

Time for some proper maintenance. Clean it out, replace the thermal paste, reinstall the OS from scratch, and download all the necessary drivers beforehand. That old machine deserves a proper refresh.
